Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Old Harbour Power Station Position Summary The position is responsible for the supervision of installations, repairs, overhauls, maintenance and modification of all types of electrical equipment in the power station. The incumbent will also assist in developing sound maintenance practices and power plant management at the location. Minimum requirements Tertiary Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification Practical training in the operation of power plant equipment (boilers, steam and gas turbines, diesel units, etc.) Training in supervisory management Knowledge of JPSCO's maintenance standards and procedures A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a similar position
Major Duties Plans and schedules daily electrical/instrumentation maintenance activities and assigns tasks to reporting staff. Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in overhauling, modification, repairing, and maintenance of plant equipment. Troubleshoots electrical/electronic and instrumentation problems of the plant equipment. Liaises with internal and external departments when developing and executing some maintenance plans. Assists the Electrical/Instrument Maintenance Engineer in carrying out special projects. Liaises with the storekeeper to ensure adequate supply of spare parts and tools. Monitors and evaluates the performance of direct reports to improve performance while maintaining good industrial and personnel relationship.
