HOW IT WORKS Retrieve data on your energy consumption obtained from your smart meter. This data will be formatted into tables and graphs that will show you categories of data, including your consumption profile and your demand profile. Your consumption profile shows the amount of energy used for an entire facility hour by hour and day by day, showing if any equipment is left on at nights or on weekends. Your demand profile is like an energy fingerprint. You can view hourly and daily load variation of equipment, including air conditioning units and large machines, and gauge operational efficiency at your facility. A few things can affect your demand profile. Such as: •
The number of persons working in a particular area and the amount of equipment being used at the same time. Even the time of year can affect it, as the summer heat brings higher cooler requirements.

Identify the main drivers of your energy costs with reliable reports. You can monitor your usage, check if you are on track compared to previous months and come up with projections for your next billing cycle.
All this data retrieved from your smart meter is posted online and is accessible via the eSmart web portal from anywhere and at any time.

Meet Richard
Richard is a plant supervisor. His management team is concerned about the plant’s energy costs every month. Richard was tasked with analyzing the monthly energy consumption and to provide cost reduction solutions. He convinced the management team to try the JPS eSmart energy management tool. With eSmart, Richard was able to monitor the hour-by-hour energy consumption of the plant and compare it with the equipment being operated at those times.
