MANAGER, GROUP FINANCIAL REPORTING Corporate Accounting - Head Office Position Summary The Manager - Group Financial Reporting is responsible for leading the successful execution of the financial reporting function in the MCL Group. The incumbent is accountable for aggregation, analytical validation and reporting of annual financial plans and monthly financial performance. This involves ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the processes that support the net income and other financial forecasts. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for developing long-term financial forecasts and models to support key activities such as rate case filings, generation expansion analysis and corporate financing initiatives.

Minimum requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance Professional accreditation - ACCA, CPA or other financial certifications would be an asset Managerial /supervisory experience Demonstrated experience in preparing Group accounts under IFRS and USGAAP would be an asset Minimum of 5 years of progressive related experience Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Software

Major Duties Ensures the efficient operation of the financial reporting function. This includes the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and various other ad hoc reports as required. Leads the development and oversees the implementation of the Department's tactical plan for achieving organizational objectives. Provides leadership and guidance to direct reports and creates an environment that fosters personal and career development. Ensures accuracy of the Group's financial statements through an effective review and reconciliations process. Prepares analytical review ratio analysis of Group financial statements. This includes the preparation of commentary from both the budget and historical performance perspectives. Creates an efficient and effective internal control environment by providing guidance on accounting policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and policies.
