It’s exciting to have your needs met by faith in the Word of God! It’s great to receive healing when you’re sick. It’s mar velous when God lifts you out of financial difficulties and supplies your needs super natur ally. It is a thrilling experience when, by standing in faith on God’s promises, you step out of trouble and into victor y. |
If you know what that’s like, you’re probably saying, “Oh, yes! Amen,
Brother Copeland. That’s the greatest way to live!” | There was a time when I would have agreed. |

something even grander
I’m aware that there are some religious folks who would rather I didn’t say such things. They don’t think we should ever expect anything grand and glorious in this world—just in the world to come. They try to keep people from getting their hopes up. But I want you to know something right now: My greatest intention is to get your hopes up. When I say “hope,” I’m not talking about the weak, wistful kind of wishing the world calls hope. I’m talking about real, Bible hope, the kind of hope the Apostle Paul was referring to when he said: “For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ [the Anointed of God], according to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed...” (Philippians 1:19-20). The terms earnest expectation and hope found in that scripture come from two Greek words, each of which can be accurately translated hope. Paul put both of them side by side for emphasis. If you’ll research them, you’ll find they mean a confident expectation, a happy anticipation of good, a strained expectancy and eager longing. They refer to an expectation so strong that it absorbs all your attention. Raise Your Sights
If you know how to live by faith, you’ve experienced that kind of hope. Maybe you’ve been sick, for example, and you set your hope on the fact that by the stripes of Jesus, you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). You began to meditate on those scriptures until you built an inner image of yourself healed. As that image grew more crisp and clear, you began to expect—or hope for—that image to become reality. Eventually, faith rose up, put substance to that internal image and turned it into an external reality. What you did was activate the scriptural process described in Hebrews 11:1: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for....” That spiritual process always works the same way. Hope forms the image according to the Word, then faith rises up and gives substance to that image, making it a reality in the natural, physical realm. So, in the light of all God has promised us in His Word, what are you and I to expect? What should we be hoping for? What inner image should so capture our hearts and minds that it is all we can see?
∂
z
Certainly, healing is great. Financial supply is also great. But could it be that God has something even grander for us to fix our hope upon? Yes, He does according to Romans 5:1-2: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ [the Anointed One]: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Read that last phrase again. It says we’re to rejoice in the hope of the glory of God! We’re to expect the glory, not just the healing! As long as you just expect healing, you’ll always be battling it out with your flesh. But if you expect the glory, you’ll be raising your spiritual sights to something bigger than healing. You’ll be expecting the very presence of God to rise up in you so powerfully that instead of believing for healing every six weeks, you’ll walk in divine health every day! When you expect the glory, you’ll start living like what you really are—joint heirs with Jesus! That’s Heavy, Man
What do I mean by the glory? The first time the glory is mentioned is in the book of Genesis and it’s referring to the wealth of God. So, God’s glory includes His wealth, but it’s much, much more than that. The word glory actually means “heavyweight.” God is heavy with everything you could ever want or need. He is so heavy with healing that if everyone in the whole world believed Him for healing at once, no one would have to wait until tomorrow to get healed because God got tired. In the book of Exodus, God’s glory could be seen going before the Israelites in a pillar of a cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21). Habakkuk described God’s glory as lightning-like shafts of splendor that streamed from His hands. “...and there [in the sunlike splendor] was the hiding place of His power” (Habakkuk 3:4, The Amplified Bible). And when Ezekiel saw God in His glory, he said He was a fire from the loins up and from the loins down (Ezekiel 8:2). The f ire of God is called the glory. The wind of God is called the glory. The smoke of God is called the glory. The fullness of God is called the glory. It is all the glory because the glory of God refers to the

God has something even better for us—
a life so full of the fiery light of God
that darkness of every kind flees from its very presence . supernatural life and essence of God. The very power that makes Him God! Many have thought that kind of awesome glory must be reserved for God and God alone. Not according to the Bible. Psalm 8:5 tells us that in the beginning man was crowned with that glor y—crowned with the same fire and flame of beauty that was on God Himself. To crown means to anoint! God put His hands on their heads and crowned them with His own presence and glory so that they began to shine just like He shines. They were not standing unclothed and vulnerable to the elements but surrounded and protected by a shimmering force field of glory. That glor y was lost to mankind when Adam sinned. But what most believers don’t realize is that the glory was restored when Jesus was resurrected! Romans 6:4 says not only that “Christ was raised up f rom the dead by the glory of the Father” but also “even so [or by that same glory] we also should walk in newness of life.” You and I are supposed to be walking in the glory! We get a glimpse of what that ’s like in the Bible account of the glory flowing out of the Apostle Peter with such force that people were healed as he walked by them: “Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them” (Acts 5:15). It wasn’t Peter’s shadow that healed them but that field of glory that surrounded him. That’s what God put hope in you to expect. The glory! Not just healing. Not just increase of finances. Not just deliverance. All those things are great and they’re all available to us, but God wants us to raise our expectations higher than that. He wants us to expect the glory! Everything we could ever need, and more than we would ever want, can be found in the glory of God!

It’s a Mystery
Where is that glory? Not off in heaven somewhere, waiting for some great prophet of faith to pull it down. Not hovering out there behind heaven’s gates. It is inside you! It is inside you! I can just hear your mind working: Oh, man! I just can’t understand how that can be! I know you can’t. It’s a mystery! As the Apostle Paul said in Colossians 1:26-27: “Even the mystery which hath been hid f rom ages and f rom generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ [or the Anointing] in you, the hope of glory.” Do you realize what that verse is saying? It’s saying that the anointing of Jesus Himself, the very glory of God that raised Him from the dead, is residing right now within you and every other believer on the face of this earth. Second Corinthians 4 confirms that fact, saying: For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure [what treasure? the glory of God!] in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.... For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh (verses 6-7, 11). You are as big on the inside as all of heaven! The glory of God is in you. The faith of God is in you. The love of God is in you. The mind of Christ, the Anointed One, is in you. All the fruit of the spirit is in you. Healing is in you. Deliverance is in you. All the wealth of heaven itself is in you. Those things were
born in you when you were born again and they ought to be flowing out of that mortal, subject-to-death, meat-and-blood-and-bone body you’re living in right now! The glory of God should be pouring out of that earthen vessel! Why isn’t it? Because we’ve never developed the expectancy for it. We’ve had the idea that glor y will only come when God decides Boy, I’m going to show them something today. They haven’t seen My glor y for 2,000 years. Then, Pow! He just shoots the earth with some big glory gun! No! The glor y of God is within us! It is going to manifest when we meditate on the glor y of God so much that hope rises up and provides an image. Then faith will release the glor y of God f rom the inside of us where we can’t see
When you expect the glory, you’ll
I’ve experienced little touches of that kind of glory and, believe me, I’m eager for more. More is com- ing, too! Ashes Under Our Feet
Malachi 4:2-3 promises: “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.” Notice that scripture said “Sun of righteousness” not “Son of righteousness.” It ’s talking about a bright, blazing glory. And the wings it refers to aren’t birds’ wings, they’re flames of fire that are shaped like wings. But most exciting of all is
start living like what you really are—joint heirs with Jesus!
it—to the outside where we can see it! Remember the words Jesus spoke to Martha when Lazarus died? He told her, “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” ( John 11:40). Those words are just as true for us as they were for Martha. If we’ll believe for the glory, if we’ll meditate on the Word of God until we develop our hope and begin to intensely expect the glory, then faith will become the substance of it—and we’ll begin to see it. Does that sound wild to you? Well, it’s not! If you’ll go back and read the Bible, you’ll see that’s what Christianity is all about. God intended for the Body of Christ to walk through this earth with such a manifestation of His presence in our lives that it would either scare people spitless...or draw them into the kingdom of God! The Apostle Paul, knowing God intended us to have a foretaste of the resurrected body right here on the earth, wrote: “[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him...and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection...that if possible I may attain to the...resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body]” (Philippians 3:10-11, The Amplified Bible).
the fact that Malachi didn’t say that “He shall go forth.” He said, “[ You] shall go forth.” You and I are the ones who are going to go forth with this blazing glory—the same glory that appeared as a pillar of fire by night and cloud by day...the same glory that filled the temple with such power the priests couldn’t approach the altar without being knocked backward...the same glor y that raised Jesus f rom the dead...the same glory that God said would fill the whole earth—that same glory is what we’ll use to tread down the devil until he is ashes under our feet! The expectancy of that glor y is going to grow so strong between now and Jesus’ return that it is going to fill churches. It ’s going to come on congregations with such power that people are going to run from all over the neighborhood to find out what it is. The glory is coming! Your confession of faith and your expectancy are going to pull it out of you, and you’re going to walk in that glory right in the face of hell and everything it has to offer. Dare to release your expectancy of the glory. Before long you’ll realize...you haven’t seen anything yet! V ictor y

In John 15:4,
Jesus talks about abiding or living in Him. He said, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear f ruit of itself, except it abide in the vine….”

The word abide is
not a word we use much in our modern vernacular. Abide means, “to remain, be held in and be kept in.” Today we would probably say, “to stay.” It means to stay in a place or state.

I’m from the Deep South, and growing up I would hear people ask, “Where do you stay?” In other words, they wanted to know: “Where do you live?” If you substituted the word abide with the word live, you would probably better understand what Jesus was saying in that scripture. He was really saying, “Live in Me, stay in Me.” Live in His Word, Produce Good Fruit Is living in Him automatic? No, it’s not. You can’t hear the Word on Sunday in church and then think on other things Monday through Saturday. The words you hear on Sunday are the same words you have to continue hearing and speaking the rest of the week. It can’t be a “Sunday-only thing.” Church is where you visit. You don’t live there. W here you live, and what lives inside you will produce fruit in your life. If you really want to know where you live, check out your fruit. That will tell you where you’ve chosen to live, or as Jesus put it, abide. I had the privilege of working in Healing School at Brother Kenneth Hagin’s ministry for a number of years. During that time, I taught healing in the morning, healing at noontime and healing when the sun went down. I taught healing class during the week, and then I would go out and hold healing meetings on the weekend. After about 10 years, I was studying in my office one day when something dawned on me. I realized that I was healed, too! I had gone month after month without a symptom, without a pain—not even an ache. Why do you suppose that was? Because I was living in healing, and I stayed in healing, it produced healing fruit. I would see individuals come to Healing School who had been given up on by medical science and had no hope. Some would come in on breathing machines gasping for air. I would see them sit under the Word two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening all week long, and improve as much as 70 or 80 percent—just like a flower opening up in the sunshine. And then I would see them go away and come back in a week or so in the same condition they were three weeks earlier. Why was that? What happened? They stopped living in the Word concerning healing. They weren’t abiding. You can’t be sporadic when it comes to God’s Word— on healing or anything else. You can’t get up in the morning, read a verse or two and then live in the problem the rest of the day. Instead of speaking the Word about

healing, you end up talking about your symptoms. You can’t quote prosperity scriptures, and then live in the bills. No, you turn it around. You look at the bills, you look at the symptoms, but you live in the Word. You get in the Word, and you abide there until that Word abides in you. You let the Word become part of your life! When you do, you’ll begin to bear the fruit of that Word. That Your Joy Might Be Full Further along in John 15, Jesus says, “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love” (verse 9). In other words, you should abide, live, stay in His love. He continues by saying, “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide [live or stay] in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” (verses 10-11). There is nothing like full joy. I’m talking about joy that is beyond natural happiness, joy that no thing or physical accomplishment can give. Jesus said that kind of joy is available to us, not just to experience once every 20 years or so, but always. How do we enjoy living in the fullness of joy? By living and abiding in Him, that’s how. When you live in Jesus, when you stay connected to Him, that connection will always produce the fruit of joy. Can you live another way? Sure you can. Millions of Christians do. It’s called the flesh way. But Jesus said, “Abide in My love.” Living in love is a lot more than just walking in love with other people. That’s only part of it. We can live in His manifest love. God is love. Love is the atmosphere of heaven, and in heaven there is no fear, torment, insecurity or dread. There is only total freedom. Can we have that kind of freedom here and now? Absolutely! Jesus told us how when He said to pray, “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). If you are living in love, in the atmosphere of heaven, there should be no torment in your life. Hell’s environment is filled with fear, panic and dread. Just think about the most hellish situations you have been in. They were full of fear, panic and wondering if you were going to make it. Have you ever walked into a situation where people were fussing and fighting and you could feel it? You could feel it in the air. It is a tangible environment. That is what they are living in. But the child of God never has to live in that. Don’t let hell’s n o v e m b e r

atmosphere into your house, your workplace, your car—anywhere! Instead, allow the peace of God, the love of God and the joy of God to fill your place. Live in God, Experience His Manifest Presence Sometimes parents will ask a mooneyed young couple who are about to be married, and have no financial plan, “Well, what are y’all going to do, live on love?” If they’re talking about what the world refers to as love, it’s not enough. But since God is love, what they’re really saying is, “What are y’all going to live on, God?” Do you see how much mind renewal we need? Actually, we can live quite well on God. It is the only way we can live. “For in Him we live and move and have our being.” Not just on such-and-such street, not just in a house of wood or stone, but in Him. In 1 John 4 we read, “No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit” (verses 12-13). God can be so real to you and you not see Him at all. If we love one another He dwells, He lives in us and His love is perfected in us. We dwell, live, stay in Him and He in us, because He has given us His Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the agent by which we live in Him and He lives in us. Verses 15 and 16 say, “ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.” The word known in this scripture means “experienced.” One way it is used is “tasted.” I can tell you about my grandmother’s chicken and dumplings. I could even write a cookbook about them. But it wouldn’t do you half as much good as tasting them. I am not much on reading recipes. Let me taste it! Remember the scripture that says, “O taste and see that the Lord is good…” (Psalm 34:8). If we are not experiencing this on a daily basis then we 10 |

are not tasting. We are not living there. You see, you don’t just live in a geographical location, or the natural atmosphere of the earth. There is another atmosphere that exists called the atmosphere of love. Jesus said, “I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in His love” ( John 15:10). He stayed in love and lived in the manifest presence of God. And that was why He was anointed with the oil of gladness above His brethren. He lived in and stayed in love, so His joy was full. He was not a depressed Jesus. I remember one night I was on the floor praying for some people. As I interceded for them the love of God toward them came into me. For a moment I sensed just how much He loved them. I thought: This is where I want to live. I wanted to stay right there—to live in the manifest love of God. Living in love is the highest life that can be lived. If every child of God really understood this, they would never look at anyone else and envy their life. They wouldn’t even have to go anywhere on vacation. They could just lay on their couch and say, “Glory to God, glory to God, glory to God.” He can be that real to you. He wants to manifest Himself to you and me. Now, I know there is enough stuff in the world to get your attention from time to time. But you don’t have to live in depression or boredom. You can live in love, and you can live in joy. So the next time someone asks you where you live, don’t give them your address. Say, “I live in God. I live in love. That is where I live.” V ictor y

Seed Sown Produces Immediate Harvest During the Christmas season, I sowed a seed of $20 into your ministry. I work on commission and I’m paid once a month. After my husband and I paid our tithes and bills, there was absolutely no money left for Christmas presents or dinner. However, God blessed us abundantly! The seed multiplied and we were able to buy presents for not only our three children, but our three godchildren and five children at the church. We had a beautiful Christmas day brunch and dinner.

BVOV Changes Lives
KCM’s television broadcast changed my life in April 1991. I am so thankful for finally finding the truth that set me f ree. When I was around 8 or 9 years old, I picked up a magazine similar to BVOV in a doctor’s office. Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57, The Amplif ied Bible Prayer and Suppor t Changes Lives
I want to share with you the joy and miracles which happened during this year. Once, I asked you to pray for my husband’s salvation. You sent me the example of how to pray, and I prayed every day. God sent to our family one minister who started sowing the Word of God into my husband’s heart. We even had meetings at our house. I fasted and continued praying. My husband started resisting it, and even shouted that I got crazy. But, I knew who I was; I believed that the time had come. And April 25, 2004, he got Jesus into his heart. In August, he was baptized in water and knew the new life. I am so grateful to you for your prayers and support. Since that time our life and our children’s lives have changed. At the beginning it was difficult. My husband’s friends rejected him, but we got new friends and our best friend is Jesus. Now, we all read your letters and BVOV magazine. We are your Partners. Thank you. N.N. | Ukraine

We have extremely benefited from Sierra Leone your friendship and appreciate it very much. Your magazines sent to us have taught us many good things toward our faith. Through applying those teachings from the magazine dated April 2005, Don’t Skip First Base, the thing that helped us most is when you talk to Jesus about meeting your needs, He will talk to you about the kingdom of did a God. God did a remarkable thing in December 2005. He blessed us with what we have been longing for, which is land (a place of our own). Healed by the Stripes of Jesus By the stripes of Jesus I was healed! I wrote to your ministry not long ago and asked you to pray for my healing. I was diagnosed with tuberculosis of the left lung. You sent me a letter, along with a prayer and scripture that I could speak out. I did it several times a day. Then in prayer, I got the instruction about what would help me get the victory in this situation. I continued taking treatment with the Word of God. After the second week, X-rays showed that I was completely well! I.R. | Ukraine

Besides this, there was a growth in her head which could prevent her from normal development. The doctors gave us very little chance for her survival. But praise God, He did everything 2000 years ago! The moment I knew about the diagnosis, the words from Mark 5:36 first came into my mind: Don’t fear but only believe. I forbade all fear and unbelief. I called the pastor of our local church, we received Communion and anointed our daughter. We forbade the devil to touch our daughter and ordered him to keep his hands away from her forever, in the Name of Jesus. We proclaimed our complete victory and freedom from the curse and full prosperity on all areas of her life, including the physical one. Then, we continued staying on the Word of God and also watched the Healing School of Gloria Copeland. And without any surgery, the growth in our daughter’s head got smaller and disappeared, the hemorrhage stopped and the ulcers were gone. Thanks to your ministry, I could know the true love of our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, and all the blessings that the Lord got for us. A.Y. | Ukraine

Kim heard the Lord speak three words that would forever change her life. Start a magazine. “’Cause Nana said that’s where you’re going, and I want to be with you.” The hair on the back of Kim’s neck stood at attention as Breanne continued her monologue. Although Kim hadn’t been raised in a Christian home, her mother had later been born again. And she’d been taking Breanne to church. At home, Kim went straight to the phone and called the couple who had been witnessing to her, encouraging her to receive Jesus as the Lord of her life. Kim’s message was short and to the point. “I want to get saved,” she said. By making that decision, Kim knew she would forever change not only her own eternal destination but probably her daughter’s as well. If Breanne followed in her footsteps of faith, they would both secure a future in heaven. What Kim didn’t realize, however, was just how profoundly her choice would affect their lives here on earth. “When I got born again my life was radically transformed,” she remembers. “Within a few years, I started working in the bookstore at Norvel Hayes Ministries. Later, the publications department became short-staffed so I was transferred to that department, where I worked on the newsletter and helped edit books. Through Norvel, I learned to live a life of worship. He also taught me the importance of sowing and reaping.” Kim’s connection with Norvel Hayes also brought her into contact with another ministry that would impact her life for years to come—the ministry of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. “As I listened to the Copelands, I learned that one word from God can change your life forever,” Kim recalls. “Perhaps the most life-changing thing they taught me was the authority of the believer.” In 1998—a year of especially great change in her life—Kim decided to step up her relationship with the Copelands’ ministry. “That year I received a prophecy that God was calling me apart to Himself,” she explains. “I also resigned from my previous position at Norvel Hayes Ministries and started my own business at home. I helped other ministries with newsletters and wrote a correspondence course for one of them. During that time, a pastor from Knoxville, Tenn., whom I respected a great deal, said the Lord told him to tell me to partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Without a moment’s hesitation, I became a Partner.” A Fresh Outlook Five years later, in 2003, Kim heard the Lord speak three words that would forever change her life: Start a magazine. “I didn’t know how to start a magazine,” Kim admits. “But I knew that if I was going to start one, I wanted it to be unlike any other for Christian women. I didn’t want to have to buy secular magazines in order to read about health, beauty tips, fashion and business, and then buy a Christian magazine to get fed spiritually. I wanted to start a magazine that offered everything for a balanced life.” Kim had her mandate from God, and she had her vision. What she didn’t have was a name. “I don’t know what to call it,” Kim told a friend. “What are you trying to do with the magazine?” her friend asked. “I’m trying to give Christian women a fresh outlook,” Kim explained.
After consulting with her husband, Rocky, about the financial aspects of running a magazine, Kim got started.

and the newsstand operators only pay for what is sold. So once again, I was paying huge sums of money out and getting very little in. “For five months my assistant, Amy; my daughter, Breanne; and I received no paychecks. We began combining issues to cut costs. I cleared a space out in our office and made it a prayer room. Each employee took hourly shifts praying. In addition, we fasted regularly.” Taking Ownership In the midst of this attack, a f riend sent me an Internet address to watch Brother Copeland take ownership of his new Citation X jet. “I knew my answer was in that video,” Kim said. “I watched it over and over for three days. Finally, on the third day, I realized there was something I’d missed. I’d been focusing on the airplane instead of a story Kenneth told about a woman who’d been building a house. As soon as she got one room finished, something went wrong in another room. No matter how hard they worked, something kept going wrong. She said, ‘Kenneth, I don’t understand what’s wrong. I told God it was His house. Why is this happening?’ “Kenneth Copeland said, ‘There’s your problem! God gave you the house and you’re trying to give it back. It has no ownership on earth, so the devil is coming in and doing these things.’” That’s it! Kim realized. She hadn’t taken ownership of Fresh Outlook! It was like buying a property and never registering the deed. By not taking ownership, she did not have the right to use her delegated authority. Kim went to her prayer room, repented and took ownership of the magazine. Within one week the phones were ringing with advertisers calling to place ads. A man in her church said God told him to partner with her financially. Television stations suddenly began running commercials. Subscriptions began to soar. God provided a new distributor who paid faster. People Kim had tried to reach for three years suddenly began calling her. Even their e-newsletter subscriptions soared to 3500. And Kim and her staff received paychecks again. Authority Over Death By June 2006, the magazine was on an even keel and Kim could focus on the birth of her first grandchild, a son Breanne was going to name Bryson. Little did she know, this too would require a strong, faith stand. June 19, Breanne was admitted to the hospital and labor was induced. After two days, she still hadn’t gone into labor. Late in the afternoon on the second day, Kim had stepped outside the hospital when the Holy Spirit
As months passed, Kim made a point to regularly walk into Wal-Mart and speak to the store.
“Fresh Outlook is on your shelves and our print run is 50,000.” spoke, Don’t go far! Minutes later, she was called back to Breanne’s room. Breanne sat on the side of the bed looking as pale as death. “Mama, something’s wrong!” she cried. “Get a doctor!” Kim shouted to the nurse. “Mama, something’s pulling me! Hold on to me!” Breanne wrapped her arms around her mother, held tight and prayed. “Her blood pressure’s dropping!” the nurse announced as doctors filled the room. “Hold me, Mama! It’s pulling me!” “I’ve got you, Breanne…” “Mama, I can’t hold on any longer. I’ve got to let go. Take care of Bryson for me.” Breanne fell lifeless across the bed. Remember the authority of the believer! Kim crawled onto the bed and grabbed her daughter’s head. “Devil, take your hands off my child in the Name of Jesus! Breanne, you are staying here with me! You will not die but live and declare the works of your God!” Oblivious to the doctors, Kim continued using her authority. Ten minutes later, Breanne’s eyes fluttered and she woke up. “Mama, what happened?” she whispered. “I don’t know,” Kim said. “Her heart stopped pumping blood,” the doctor explained. “We have no idea why.” Breanne was rushed to surgery for an emergency C-section and Bryson was born healthy and full of life. Kim Potter would be the first to tell you that there’s not a single battle she could have won had she not understood her authority in Christ Jesus. Clearly, Fresh Outlook would never have survived if she hadn’t received that revelation. But what it did for the magazine pales in comparison to the difference it made for her only daughter and grandson. Because Kim knew how to exercise her delegated authority and enforce the victory Jesus won through His death and resurrection, today she, Breanne and Bryson can rejoice, be together and give God glory for His saving power. A power that delivers believers from the devil’s hand not just in the sweet by-and-by but in the rugged here and now. A power that can be exercised by every Christian who knows the authority of the believer. V ictor y

I go to sleep every night thanking the Lord for what He will show me tomorrow about The Blessing. Can you tell I’m excited?
But right now, I want to think about another issue: How we can bless God. What does it actually mean to “Bless the Lord”? Believers do have the capacity to earnestly lift up the declaration “Bless the Lord” in praise. But, have we had a complete understanding of what that means? Let’s take a look at the words of the Apostle John to see how God desires The Blessing to work out in our lives and how we can bless Him. “The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, I wish [pray] above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no

greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 1-4). Above All Things Look at that phrase, “Beloved, I wish above all things….” The cross references in the King James Version, and many other translations, note that it can be better translated, “Beloved, I pray above all things….” So what we have here is an elder in the Church—who had experienced The Blessing manifest in the earth as he walked at Jesus’ side—telling one who had come up under his ministry what he prayed for most: “I pray above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
We can track The Blessing of God from Adam right down to Jesus—and right up to us. What John prays for Gaius by the Holy Spirit is a How Do We Bless God? direct revelation of what our heavenly Father desires Only by understanding the word prosperity can we for us. K C M A f r i ca S We’ve Stepped Over the Threshold
hortly after becoming director of Kenneth Copeland Ministries Africa in 1999, James McClintock spent a season in prayer for the Lord’s direction. The Lord gave him a three-point plan for KCM’s role in reaching Africa with the ministry of the gospel: radio, French materials and Nigeria. Today, the Lord has made great strides in fulfilling His plan for KCM Africa from our ministry office in South Africa. “We have stepped over the threshold in all three areas,” says McClintock. “We are using every available voice to communicate the good news to our part of the world. Good! God is Absolutely
Throughout my years of getting to know God,
•
I have learned that He is absolutely good. He has nothing in Him that even resembles selfishness. Since the first day of Creation, He has always been giving of Himself. Every aspect of His nature flows from His love for His creation and it is all good. Every day of my life is filled with His goodness. | When God sent His Son into the earth, Jesus was anointed to preach good news—and only good news—and to demonstrate the goodness of His Father. He made this very clear the day He stood up among the religious leaders of His hometown, opened the book to the place of the prophet Isaiah, and described His purpose. We read it in Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
•
All anyone really needs to do to come to the right conclusion about God’s nature is look at the actions of His Son. After reading from that book, Jesus closed the book, sat down and proclaimed, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears” (verse 21). True to His Father’s Word, right up through the day He made His way to Calvary, Jesus did nothing but good. He never did an evil work His whole life. He didn’t know how to do evil. Evil wasn’t part of His makeup. It wasn’t in His character. He was anointed to be and do only good—just like His Father.
Eager to Do Good to All
It’s surprising the number of people who can read Scripture and determine God to be anything but good. All anyone really needs to do to come to the right conclusion about God’s nature is look at the actions of His Son. Jesus told His disciples that anyone who had seen Him had seen the Father ( John 14:9). He went on to say, “The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works” (verse 10). He told them later, “The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise” ( John 5:19). What did Jesus see His Father do? The Old Testament is filled with images of the character of God. Psalm 145:7-10 gives us a great picture of the goodness of our unchanging God: “[All men] shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.” Let ’s look a little more closely at the psalmist ’s description of the Lord. The Lord is gracious. In other words, He is disposed to show favor. That day Jesus read from the prophet Isaiah, He declared that the favor of God was present in their midst. Full of compassion. According to one Hebrew source, the word compassion means “eager yearning to do good.” The proof of our Father’s motivation to do good is clearly seen in Jesus’ ministry—providing the best wine at a wedding party, healing people with all kinds of diseases, casting out demons f rom tormented souls and raising people from the dead. He was God in the flesh—doing the goodness He yearned so eagerly to do.
God is slow to anger and of great mercy. So many people think God is sitting on the edge of His seat, just waiting for someone to make a mistake so He can lower the boom. Nothing could be further from the truth. His mercy is great—He is ever ready to forgive. Jesus’ words to everyone He met were words filled with mercy, even when He confronted their sin. The Lord is good to all. It would not be God’s will to heal or deliver a few people and leave everyone else bound up by the devil. Peter preached in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” His tender mercies are over all His works. Tender mercies means “deep love and affection.” “For God so loved” the world—all His works…He gave His Son. Glory to God! His deep love and affection—His goodness— cover us every moment of every day. This is the picture of our good God—always giving of Himself.
Getting the Picture
Now, we’ve heard it said that a picture is worth a thousand words! All anyone needs to do is look at Jesus—the walking, talking, moving picture of God’s goodness in action. In Matthew 11:2-6, we see that John the Baptist sent his disciples to ask Jesus to identify Himself. Jesus said, “Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.” In other words, “Tell John you hear and see the goodness of God.” Jesus was created in the image of His Father, and all His ministry and works were expressions of His Father’s goodness! He said, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” ( John 14:9).
Still Seeing the Father
And we are born again in that same image. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Since the day He ascended to the right hand of His Father, Jesus Christ—the Anointed One and His Anointing—has fulfilled His ministry through His Body, the Church. It is still the ministry of Jesus, and we get to do the actual work of the ministry. The words of Isaiah 61 apply to His Body, just as they did to Jesus. The same Spirit of the Lord who anointed Jesus anoints you and me. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead brings us out of spiritual death to life, out of darkness to light. And the Father’s purpose in our being born again is the same as it was for Jesus. We preach the gospel to the poor. We are anointed to announce freedom to captives and recovery of sight to the blind. Just like Jesus, we have the ability to send forth as delivered those who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed and broken down in calamity. In this Year of Total Fulfillment, the goodness of our Father is flowing through the Body of Christ in unprecedented ways. The devil is fighting hard to keep people thinking God is angry at them, or He’s out to get them. But he is fighting a losing battle, because we
He has established in every corner of the planet. Every day His Body is growing as more people believe and receive. Our message is the same as Jesus’ was, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). The kingdom of God’s goodness is here!
Always Ready With Goodness
Jesus was always ready to do and be good! His power was never in the “off ” position. He was always “on” by the power of the Spirit. He was always in a healing, delivering mood. He was never in such a hurry that He didn’t have time to give out the goodness of God—lay hands on the sick or cast out demons. Anyone who came to Him received what they needed, if they simply put their faith out there. They came because they had heard about Him and believed what they heard. They came because they had a need and expected to receive. And He delivered! Every person who enters the kingdom of God enters a new day—a new way of life! We enter the life where the only thing God desires to do is cover us with His goodness. And once we take our place in We are surrounded by people with that kingdom of “goodness,” we can’t help but tell needs of every kind. We just have to other people about it. stay on the ready, just like Jesus did. People come to Healing School at our meetings because they have heard about someone who was healed there. People come to me when they see me in the parking lot at the grocery store because are out there preaching that God is good and His mercy they’ve heard me say God heals today and because I endures forever! (Psalm 118:1). lay hands on the sick. People come to you because they heard you are a Christian who prays for people and This is THE Day things change. Jesus said to the people in the synagogue that day in We are surrounded by people with needs of every Nazareth, “This day….” Total fulfillment of the goodkind. We just have to stay on the ready, just like Jesus ness of God began on that day when Jesus declared His did. We have to be available to them, and be willing anointing. And it has never ceased. This is still THE to release the anointing of His goodness that God has day! This is our day! deposited in us, and let someone make a draw on it. Jesus said to Zacchaeus in Luke 19:9, “This day is salvation come to this house.” Salvation means deliverGod Is Absolutely Good ance. Every one of us comes into the kingdom of God By always being ready, we stay in the flow of God who from the same beginning. We receive pardon. We get is always ready to give out His absolute goodness. He deliverance from danger and apprehension—freedom pours out His goodness to His children through us. His from fear. We receive protection and liberty. We receive Spirit of goodness was always on in Jesus and He is on provision. We receive health, restoration, soundness and in you and me. Just like He did with Jesus, He disperses wholeness. We receive God’s love and goodness! His goodness through us—His Body in the earth. The day we receive the gospel is the day every Psalm 31:19 in the New Living Translation says, thing changes! “Your goodness is so great! You have stored up great This is the day of God’s grace. We don’t have to do blessings for those who honor you. The 20th century born-again rabbi David Baron commented on this scripture, “Goodness is that attribute of God whereby He loveth to communicate to all who can or will receive it all good. Himself is the fullness of good, the creator of all good. Not in one way, not in one kind of goodness only, but absolutely without beginning, without limit, without measure. He possesseth and embraceth all excellence, all perfection, all blessedness, all good. This good His goodness bestoweth on all and each according to the capacity of each to receive it.” God is no respecter of persons, but some people have more capacity to receive His good. That’s because they prepare for it more. They believe His Word, and act on His Word more. These people expect it more. They are receivers. Anyone can be a receiver of His goodness. And we can all increase our capacity to receive. All it takes is our going from faith to faith. Hearing the Word, believing the Word, speaking the Word, acting on the Word—with each step, our capacity increases. When we open ourselves to receive His goodness without measure, once the flow starts within us, He will make us conduits to allow His goodness to flow to others. God is not holding back any good thing f rom anyone. First Corinthians 2:9-10 in The Amplified Bible clearly tells us, “What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit.” By the Spirit—by the same anointing that was in and on Jesus and is in and on you and me—we can know all the absolute goodness God has in store for us. Our job is to keep ourselves ready…to simply be “on.” We need to always be ready to tell someone about the good things God has done for us. We should be ready to share the compassion He has given us. We can willingly show His love and deep affection by the mercy we give others as He has given us. And we can graciously give free favors as He has bestowed so many on us. Every day God brings people across our path who have believed a lie about His nature. He has given us the same mission He gave Jesus, and He has anointed us to do it. Let’s stay “on!” Let’s be ready to tell them the truth—to demonstrate the truth—God is absolutely good! V ictor y
prayer When it comes to prayer, we’re only a phone call away. And looking at the number of calls we received here at Kenneth Copeland Ministries during the first half of 2006, our presence is no secret.
From the beginning of January to the end of June, the more
than 50 prayer ministers in the Partner Ministries Department of the headquarters office in Fort Worth, Texas, received 185,946 calls from Partners and Friends—people in need of prayer or spiritual guidance. That’s almost two-thirds of the 305,155 calls we received in all of 2005. For these anointed ministers, who answer the phones five days a week for 18 hours each day (from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Central Time), the calls are a blessing. “All throughout the Mission Statement of KCM you see we are here to lead, build, teach and assist born-again believers in understanding who they are in Christ Jesus; to build an army of mature believers,” says Valerie Ranton, Partner Ministries manager in the Fort Worth office. “That’s what we do Valerie Ranton, Partner Ministries manager.
on the prayer lines each day, whether here in the United States, or in our
offices in Australia, Canada, England, South Africa or Ukraine. We are assisting born-again Christians by agreeing with them in faith and building them up on the Word of God. It is our goal to help get their eyes off the problem and onto the solution, which is always found in the Word of God.” Since starting a prayer department in the early 1970s, it has been the desire of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland for KCM to extend its prayer line from Monday through Friday to nonstop, around-the-clock availability. While that dream is close to coming to pass, in recent weeks the prayer lines in the headquarters office have been extended to include weekends, with prayer ministers now available to answer calls from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
“I have depended on the ministry of Kenneth and Gloria
Copeland since I was 9 years old,” Ranton says. “I grew up feeding on the Word of God they preached, and I have seen firsthand what the Word can do and how it can change lives.
“Being part of something as important as praying for others
is very special to me, as it is with everyone who’s part of this team. It’s exciting to know we get to be part of helping to change someone’s life by sharing God’s Word and praying with them.”
Prayer is a big part of what KCM is about. It’s also a big part
of this ministry’s mission to build an army of mature believers, bringing them from milk to meat, from religion to reality. V ictor y
