FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

Before DoDEA students started the new school year, the Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) partnered with the 36th FSS/ MWR to host an indoor End of the Summer - Family Movie Night featuring “Raya and the Last Dragon” on 20 August at the SunFollow your A&FRC on Facebook for all the latest events under our official page "Andersen AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center".

COMBINED HEART LINK (HL) & SPOUSE NEWCOMERS ORIENTATION (SNO) Heart Link (HL) is an informative workshop geared towards orienting Air Force spouses, while the Spouse Newcomers Orientation (SNO) introduces spouses to Guam's local customs, culture and traditions. Both are offered on a quarterly basis. Spouses will be able to learn more about Andersen AFB's mission, available on and off-base resources and helping agencies, and

will have lots of fun networking with other AF spouses. The most recent combined HL/SNO event was held on 27 August at the USO Andersen. Spouses received valuable information on "Disaster Preparedness" and walked away with a starter emergency kit for their family. Sadly, the U.S. military is not excluded from this global crisis. The Navy remains committed to using its best efforts to eliminate domestic abuse and to break the cycle of violence in military families. The Navy Family Advocacy Program, or FAP, is identified as the program to facilitate a community response to domestic

Family Advocacy Program recognized as Domestic staff take part in the Violence Awareness Month, Wrap-Up Domestic Violence Awareness Month Wave. or DVAM. Each year, the Department of Defense provides a theme, used across all service branches, that directs the planning of awareness and prevention activities throughout the month. The theme for DVAM 2021 is “United to End Domestic Abuse”. This year’s campaign is designed to promote the idea that preventing domestic abuse is a shared community responsibility that starts with a message of support for victims and reminds victims that help is always available.

Andersen Summer Splash End of Summer Bash

Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Sunrise Conference Center (SRCC) In August, Andersen MWR hosted their “Summer Splash, End of Summer Bash” at the Sunrise Conference Center. Families enjoyed games, stories, and many wet and wild activities. Andersen Helping Agencies (AHA) were on hand to provide information and promotional items to families. Over 534 people attended this fun, free ‘farewell to summer’ event!
