DODEA GUAM HIGH SCHOOL NJROTC REMEMBRANCE–TWENTY YEARS SINCE 9/11

On Tuesday September 11, 2001, at 8:46 AM Eastern standard time, the tragic incident which consisted of American citizens, terrorists, and buildings in New York city had come to a catastrophic ending, killing 2,996 people and breaking the bonds between the Twin towers along with the many souls inside those buildings. It has now been twenty years since this tragic event has happened. Although it has been twenty years since this horrendous event happened, it has been a painful and sorrowful time for others who have lost their mothers, fathers, husbands, spouses, and children. Today, in honoring all of these souls that have suffered both today and on the day of the disastrous event, the NJROTC program along with Guam High School have created a ceremony honoring the loss of those who have passed away in the unfortunate incident along with all the scars that are never to be healed of those who lost their loved ones forever. Therefore, staff members will raise the American flag in honor to show pride to our country and in honor of those who have passed away. And in the remembrance we will take the time to pray for all the souls hoping that they will rest in peace, safe and sound.

ANDERSEN CHAPEL LUNCH FOR ANDERSEN ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STAFF

The Andersen Chapel was able to provide lunch from Ma's Kitchen for the Elementary and Middle School staff during the teacher work days before the beginning of school. The Andersen Helping Agencies were also in attendance to meet and greet teachers and welcome them back. Chapel services such as worship and pastoral counseling are available to anyone with base access. Other Andersen Helping Agencies are also available in their respective areas. We strive to be a seamless group who are poised to offer support to the families of Andersen.
