The Start Smart Program created by the National Alliance for Youth Sports helps kids get ready for sports and succeed in life. It is an innovative step-bystep approach that builds confidence and self-esteem in a fun and safe sports environment. The Start Smart Sports Development Program provides motor skills development that will help all children develop in sports. The first session of the year will cover the sport of tennis. The program will run six weeks long. The program will cover basic tennis skills, drills and positions for all beginners. There will be a mandatory parent/child meeting on January 3, 2017 at 9 am and January 4 at 2 pm to 3 pm in the Youth Center Gym. PARENT PARTICIPATION IS MANDATORY for all who sign up for Start Smart program. The Start Smart Program is a great way to introduce sports by learning and having fun. Open to all active duty, DoD Civilians, contractors, retired, Guard and Reserve dependents age 3 to 5.

These events are offered to all individuals who are registered with Child and Youth Programs and have attended the mandatory parent orientation. The fee is $4.00 an hour.
