CAMP ADVENTURE~ WEEKLY THEMES: June 18th-22nd: Aloha! Catch a wave to Camp Adventure's Hula Holiday! Join our spectacular Celebration of our 50th State, Hawaii! Wear your grass skirts and Hawaiian Shirts, and wiggle your toes in the soft white sand. Come celebrate "Lei Day" with a Lei-making competition, Create giant erupting Hawaiian volcanoes, and go whale watching! It's great to be in Waikiki where flower leis and sunny days fill our sand buckets with fun!

June 25th – 29th: Come one, come all to the Greatest Show on Earth and join our outrageous contagious

circus fun! Grab your cotton candy, popcorn and balloons, and watch the chilling and thrilling 3-Ring Circus! See amazing acts and acrobats, crazy clowns and the Camp Adventure Big Top Party Parade! Watch out, hold on to your peanuts...the elephants are on the loose!

July 2nd – 6th: It’s a star spangled celebration across the nation! Add patriotic pride to your stride as we learn

about the nifty 50 at Uncle Sam’s stately salute. Burst with pride and let freedom ring as we learn about your hometown heroes and the founding fathers of our great states! Sparks fly at our fantastic finale, as fireworks explode red, white and true blue!

July 9th – 13th: Camp Adventure athletes kick off a slam jammin' sports celebration! Join the track team to

run for gold, take a step up to the plate to hit a home run, and show off your soccer skills as you score the big goal. Everyone is on the team in the All Star line up! So get geared up to star in spectacular sports of all sorts. It's a week of spirit, sports and celebration!

July 16th – 20th: Come take a walk on the wild side! Jump in a jeep and join our spectacular Jumanji Safari

Surprise of a lifetime. You’ll uncover mystical sites and wondrous wild life in the deep Jumanji jungle. Swing from a vine, ride through a raging river and slither along the jungle floor. It's show and tell for the gazelles and lots of laughs for the giraffes! Rock and roll with the lions at our Africa radical retreat and join our Camp Adventure Super Safari Party Savannah Jama Rama Celebration! Join the game and roll the dice.

July 23rd – 27th: 5-4-3-2-1 ... And blast off for Mars! Buckle up your star fighters and head to the rockin' red

planet and other out of sight solar civilizations! Orbit into a star-tacular galactic journey and follow the force to undiscovered constellations and never before seen planets. On your mark, get set, go...the pod racers are charged up to blast off into new worlds as Camp Adventure cruises through the cosmos. Learn the order of the planets and hunt for moon rocks. Join Hans Solo, Chewbacca and their friends on this outrageous exploration to the outer limits. May the force be with you!

July 30th – August 3rd: Join Camp Adventure as we follow colossal fossil footprints on our super continental

search for Jurassic giants! You will be amateur paleontologists with the Jurassic World Dinosaur Protection Group as we try to save the Dinosaurs! Mammoth Mesozoic marvels will have you earth quaking and shaking with Triceratops flip-flops of fossilized fun, as we walk with the dinosaurs and trace their tracks to their volcanic prehistoric past.

August 6th – 10th: Jump and jive, flit and flutter on over to Camp Adventure’s Bugapalooza Bash. You’ll wriggle

and giggle on an earthworm expedition and buzz like bees from flowers to trees. Visit royal monarch butterflies and their pet dragonflies. Then spin and grin as silly spiders catch you in their web of arachnid adventure. Huma and hop, march, or crawl to our crazy bugapalooza ball!

August 13th – 17th: Head to the Far East on an exotic expedition of friendship and fun! We'll cross the Gobi

Desert in a crazy camel caravan ... sail the China Sea in a silly sampan ... and play and peek-a-boo in the bamboo with playful pandas. Celebrate New Year's Day the Chinese way and play at our Great Wall Gamesfest. Join Camp Adventure this week to explore Pandas, Tea, and the South China Sea!

August 20th – 24th: Join us as we celebrate what being a military kid is all about…making friends! We

will participate together with friends from other installations in events ranging from brain games to physical challenges, testing our knowledge and fitness. Teams will be made up of a mixture of Andersen and Naval Base Guam youth. The team with the most points from each challenge at the end of the week will be the victors of this entire week devoted to celebrating and making new friends.

SPORTS & FITNESS AVAILABLE SERVICES I BENCHED A B-52 Coral Reef Fitness Center, Andersen Air Force Base This challenge brings the colossal size B-52 Stratofortress and the fighter jet F-15 from the flightline into the weight room! Participants will be required to benchpress either the weight of the B-52 (cumulative 185,000 pounds) or the F-15 (cumulative 68,000 pounds). Prizes will be granted after approval of weight logs by Coral Reef Fitness Center staff members. Members must bench press using either the dumbbells or the bar only to earn points. No squatting or deadlifting will be accepted. Weight benched must be logged in after every workout. The challenge will be tracked and based on the integrity system.
