1. 35mm In my thesis project completed in December 2021 I explore the deep relationship between the disciplines of architecture and film. Published in a 214-page book format, the work proposes a film studio designed to foster the local audiovisual industry, integrating elements of public character into the programme to stimulate the transition of a former industrial zone of Montevideo. The building is defined thanks to its singular structure, creating a big central hub for production and filming, supported by a service area to the east and a green leisure hall to the west. The project, with its technical details was developed using Revit. Link to the full project: bit.ly/3rLZLgj

3. Eco Hotel 4th year project exploring the design of a business hotel influenced by the effects of environmental energies in architecture. A strip of rooms opens to the north (from the southern hemisphere) to capture the sun in winter and control it in summer. The services and sirculations are placed to the south to generate an air filter with the outside. The common services of the hotel are placed perpendicularly and buried to take advantage of the thermal inertia of the earth. The project was part of a national selection to participate in the 2021 Arquisur competition.

4. Shed Fifth semester academic project. The work explores the realization of a building without a site and without a program, embracing the adaptive capabilities in the organization of the structure and program. The proposed solution consisted of a three-level building, composed of a semi-subterranean floor, a central free plan, and an upper roof containing habitable spaces. The placement of a Shed over the large space provides indirect sunlight throughout the year.

5. Palimpsest The fourth year project aims to explore the relationship between architecture and history through the design of an artists’ retreat center in the rural department of Garzón, in eastern Uruguay. The building is associated with the abandoned train station of the village and proposes on the one hand a large international center and on the other hand a visitor’s center that serves as a link to the existing and the local.
