Axon Plan
The [HEAL]thy House was designed as a house that would be inhabited by an artist on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art in Indianapolis. The house would invoke imagination and creativity for the artist.
open
One main concept of the house was to make it a living house. Using grasshopper, a hexagonal form was created. Each hexagonal structure has the ability to open and close. Essentially, the house is “living and can react to the environment around it.

material studies
In [flex]seat, the module has the potential to come in many sizes. Ideally, it would come in two specific sizes; one size allows users a place to sit, another size provides users a space for privacy. As the modules grow, they create a greater sense of space. With four connecting parts and pieces that could rotate, the number formations is nearly endless.

LAMINATION + BEND GRAPHIC NOVEL MUSEUM SAN FRANCISCO, CA

The idea behind Lamination + Bend was to take one material (glulam) and give it an action or movement (bending). This criteria is supposed to shape the facade, as well as the rest of the design.

PROCESS
THE GOAL OF THE DARWIN PROJECT WAS TO UTILIZE A FEW ALREADY EXISTING PIECES OF TECHNOLOGY. ALONG WITH THE WITH THE USE OF 3D MODELING AND PRINTING, OUR DESIGN TEAM MOUNTED A MICROSOFT KINECT TO THE TOP OF A HUMANOID ROBOT. WITH SOFTWARE SUCH AS SKANECT, THIS ALLOWED DARWIN TO BE ESSENTIALLY A BIPEDAL SCANNER.
