INTRODUCTION This is a family house sitting on a hillside surrounded by flourishing plants. The forest at the bottom of the hill and the urban area further away can be seen from the site. The concept of embracement has double applications. One suggests that the house are embracing the mountain slope as a C-shape while it is surrounded by the moutains around. The other is that the design also concerntrates on strengthening the communication between families and even their guests; all the activity spaces are surrounded by the bedrooms while they are also connected to each other. The vague space without specific function placed between the large window on south side and the rooms can be used in various ways and provide a very relaxed and casual atmosphere for daily life. 02

In these spaces, their degrees of privacy and quietness are varied from low to high. So some of the spaces are more public and welcome more families or guests, while some not.

The site have about 6800 square meters' area with a traditional Beijing courtyard inside. Background TIME-HONORED BRAND (Laozihao in chinese) means the enterprises that has products, skills or services passed from generation to generation as well as a distinctive background of traditional Chinese culture and profound cultural foundation, obtaining the social widespread recognition with a good reputation. The enterprises with time-honored brand are mainly distributed in the food and beverage, retail, food, pharmaceutical, and other service industries. It's the glorious civilization of our business results and a treasure of TRADITIONAL CHINESE CULTURE. At present, Beijing has Time-honored Brand of nearly 300 enterprises. However, under nowadays market impact, these brilliant, traditional enterprises are DYING OUT AT A RATE OF 5% PER YEAR because of the outdated business philosophy, the lack of business strategy and the dropping product attractiveness.

↓ visitors can see the ancient building wherever in the site

The main body of museum is camouflaged in colors and shapes , carpeted with calligraphic plants skin that covers the building as a whole. It is in order to adapt to the irregular boundary of the site, to respond to the preservation and also to consolidate the place from both formal and dimensional points of view, with special attention to integration into the surrounding and its vision from the courtyard. On the upper floor, the showrooms are arranged in a closed and guarded place, which is only open in a careful way to the best views of the garden and the centered building. Then, the museum is also turning into a observation point; a window comming out of the building gets outdoors pieces framed to be grasped.

The main design strategy is to organize the whole visiting route as a consistent trip. It resolves the accesses through ramps that settle accessibility and the integration of the piece in the environment. The ground floor has not only public but also commercial calling as it sends out open to neighbors and the commercial space. Its great steel lattice-worked walls, sometimes sliding, and those rooms rudely built with concrete show simply bare that provide shelter and connects to the outside. And it is a place in the shade, attracting people's touring.

SCHEDULE As known, the kindergarten operates in the same schedule. The schedule is designed by educationist to taking care of children's physical and metal health and enhancing their all-around abilities. It is also an effective way to teach them to have betterorgnized habits of life. At total, there are 5 classes for kids in different aged groups. And their classrooms need to be seperated to simplize the process of teaching management and safty guardiance. However, other teaching spaces are also provided and required. INTRODUCTION The station halls lead passengers to different bus routes. Restaurants, cafeterias and boutiques are arranged in the halls while the escalators are leadings the passengers towards the upper floors of the mall. At the east end of the terrace, a boutique hotel provides about 200 guest rooms. With a direct connection with the Transport Hub, this location protects the hotel from the noisy surroundings when the Beira Lake along the side promotes the quality the hotel view.

At the south side of Sky Terrace, four restaurants provide the space for waiting, meeting and resting. At the southern end of the terrace, with a direct view for the people from the grand stairs, two anchor stores seduce and encourage consumption behaviors. From the old station building into a local cultural center, the transformation of the buidling adds new activities to this organic transport cluster. The canopy covers the whole building and creates a half-outdoor space, enabling multiple functions such as exibition, performance and outdoor cafeterias. A grand stair with escalators increase the accessibility of the sky plaza. The new station building over the railtracks replaces the old building with comfortable space and better accessibility.

The ground floor is divided into a bus bays and a parking lot with other necessary service. Pedestrians are seperated from the vehicles to avoid the dangerous circumstances. A central reserved parking lot divides the land into the intraprovince bays and the inter-province bays. Each part has its own circulation and management. Independent staircases and elevators are arranged along the outer edge of the site, these vertical transportation cores are isolated from the bays.

Th e old s t at ion building is pr es er v ed and transformed to a local cultural center with a canopycovered outdoor area. A new station over the rail tracks is built to make the entrances both from north and south of the railways possible. The sky station plaza is connected with the Sky Terrace to make the transfer passengers accessible. 23 27

The overall layout respects the surrounding tissue of Colombo city, a huge volume of integrated transport hub everywhere in China is definitely not a good solution for the monsoon Asian cities. The building is naturally divided into a relatively independent volumn with user-friendly scale and comfortable sense. It also keeps the visual contact of the function space. The open space between buildings are for the circulation of natural air, through which the airflow from the ocean can pass to the city. These areas also provide visual connection between the city and Beira Lake.
