NEWS from ADAC We are thrilled to announce that October 1st ADAC will open its doors to the consumer giving everyone the opportunity to be inspired by all that we have to offer. Mystery and limited access are no longer the best combination in today’s marketplace and therefore, enticing a larger audience with our unique products and services is the key to success. The purpose of this new policy is to drive business to the design professional. Showrooms are encouraged to have a list of recommended designers on hand and available to consumers. If showrooms do not want to make referrals, the ADAC office will have additional resources available through a consumer brochure. The ADAC consumer brochure, available at the front registration desk, will include an ADAC building schematic, floor plans, and the guidelines for purchasing. It will also include designer referral information for our ADAC designer offices, and through our partnership associations, ASID and IIDA. Because ADAC management and showrooms are committed to promoting the designer, this is a pro-designer plan. If we all work together ensuring consistency and creating enthusiasm this will be a successful program for both your business and the ADAC design community at large. With the unyielding support of Portman management, we will have marketing events beginning with a sponsored launch during the first two weeks of October, and workshops throughout the year promoting all businesses in the Center and focusing on the importance of using a design professional. We will also host a series of workshops for showrooms and designers in August and September to help prepare for this transition. Please share this information with all of your staff so that they fully and clearly understand the new direction. Then they can in turn share the news with all of their wonderful clients. Ultimately, we want everyone that walks into our design center to be informed, included and inspired! Many thanks,
Katie Belveal General Manager ATLANTA DECORATIVE ARTS CENTER
