EXPLORE TRAVEL EXCITE FRIENDS ADVENTURE DELICIOUS EXPERIENCE EASY

WHY JTW OMEN? We extend to you an unique opportunity to join with like minded women and travel on our ‘Womens Only’ Tours to great destinations. Our tours are designed by women for women. We purposefully keep our group numbers small (maximum of 16 plus tour guides) so that you can experience an enriching and unforgettable travel experience. The size of our groups is one of the most unique aspects of our tour. It allows us to stay at small, exclusive hotels and dine at amazing restaurants. It allows us to participate in activities that larger groups can’t and it means we travel a lot faster! Imagine 50 people boarding the coach or trying to check in at a hotel… and now think of the experience when there is 16 or less! You would be surprised at how much time is lost each day just boarding transport. Who is a JTW (Jayes Travel Woman)? Anyone wanting to travel the world with a great group of ladies! We cater for married, single, divorced and widowed women; mother and daughters, grandmothers and grand daughters; and our tours are great for girlfriend getaways. Some of the most popular feedback we receive is “my hubby doesn’t want to go there but I do!” If you are a little hesitant about travelling by yourself these tours provide a sense of security. It’s a great way to have a holiday and make new friends, sharing your adventures along the way. At Jayes we don’t like to think of age as a restriction. If you want to see the world, you can have a laugh at yourself/with others and you are ready to experience new cultures, there is an ideal tour for you. But one of the questions we are regularly asked is the age of most JTW travellers. This does vary depending on the tour – our health retreats tend to attract a younger market and our longer tours an older market. However roughly, the ladies are aged between 40-70 years. We are happy to disclose the age range of any tours you are interested in.

JTW tours strive to provide an unique experience to meet the needs of the modern day women – a balance of organisation, pampering, fun and free time to explore new destinations. Most importantly we strive to provide you with a JTW tour that is very inclusive and great value for money. We include ALL of your transport, at least a 4 star standard of accommodation throughout (unless specified) and at least 2 meals per day with restaurants hand-picked by our JTW tour designers. We also include more sightseeing than other tours. We have little to no ‘optional excursions’. We know that in Venice you want to take a gondola ride, we know you will want to see a West End Show in London and we know you want to visit the Empire State Building in New York – so we include it all! When we mention a sight or attraction in the itineraries you can be assured we’ve included the entrance fees already for you. You will be accompanied by one of our experienced and professional JTW leaders who is well travelled and has expert knowledge – all making your holiday as stress free and enjoyable as possible! Another great feature of the tours are the included return transfers from your home address (Newcastle, Port Stephens, Central Coast and Sydney only). There is no need to worry about how you are getting to/from the airport. Travelling alone? With a JTW tour if you are happy to share a room with someone you only pay the twin share rate. Or if you prefer your own room, a single supplement is available! A JTW tour caters for everyone. When you compare the value there really is no other choice than Jayes Travel Women!

JT WOMEN

MEET ONE OFOUR... TOUR DESIGNERS Michelle Barker What a great few years with Jayes Travel Women! This is our second full brochure and we’ve taken ladies to Hong Kong, Hawaii, Italy, Egypt and many more exotic destinations. As a co-owner of Jayes Travel it’s been a pleasure to provide these tours. But even more so, it is so rewarding to hear the wonderful stories from our JTW tour guides and travellers when they return home. I travelled with the JT women to Hawaii on a 10 day adventure in 2011 – and what an adventure it was! I always find it amazing how well everyone gets along on our tours. We are taking mostly strangers away as a group (and it’s of course daunting) but I find that the first thing everyone has in common is the want to travel and to see the world. From here it’s a piece of cake! We want our tours to be an option for ladies who might not have someone to travel with, don’t want to be the third or fifth wheel on a group tour or just haven’t had the opportunity to travel - until now! We put a great deal of research into our tour itineraries and inclusions. We hand pick the hotels and restaurants based on our own personal experience. We include exciting and unique activities that make each and every day a highlight. When we look at the finished product, we are always so proud of what we can offer.

Judith

My excitement with JTW first started when I received the email advising of an upcoming trip to Italy in September 2011. During the Christmas break I decided to book my spot, which I did and spent the next few months waiting with much anticipation. This trip to Italy was my first journey overseas and I was not disappointed. I was picked up from my home in Cessnock and delivered safely back almost a month later. I had the time of my life & given the opportunity would very willingly pack my bags in a jiffy. I saw sights & sounds that I never imagined. Our first week in Belargio was just amazing and proved to be just a taste of what was to come. Among so many other highlights we walked the streets of Pompei, beautiful Venice & magical Florence. We had a cruise around the beautiful Isle of Capri, then a chair lift to the top of the mountain, just breathtaking. We also enjoyed a morning at a Cooking School in Tuscany, another highlight, with lots & lots of laughter and good fun. I can highly recommend JTW to anyone wishing for the trip of their lifetime. Our host, June Barr, was exceptional!. Nothing daunted June and her knowledge and experience proved invaluable to us all. So, if you, like myself, would enjoy an adventure without any of the risks get in touch with JTW and get travelling

TOUR GUIDES June Barr

Travelling is my passion and I love to share this passion with as many people as possible. It is such a privilege and pleasure to have the opportunity to escort adventurous groups of JT Women to new and exciting destinations. My experience of travelling with JT Women group has been amazing ,meeting new and wonderful women and watching strangers become friends, delighting in each others company and sharing their adventure. As a Tour Leader my goal is to make the journey memorable, trouble free and an unforgettable experience for my travel companions ,also to give them ownership of their own holiday. I am looking forward with much anticipation to meeting The Next JTW group and embark together on another fabulous journey.

It is a monument dedicated to the relationship between man and the supernatural, magic and the commonplace - an approach by man, the creature of the gods, to pure divinity. It is a place where strange forces in nature enable individuals to achieve a unique state of “cosmic awareness”, a state that can only be achieved in Machu Picchu. Normally we can see unrestricted views over

the entire site and the surrounding mountains - simply beautiful! Lunch is at ‘The Sanctuary’ before our Vistadome train takes us back to Cuzco. A Dinner and Show is included tonight. 7 Night Extension Tour!

SOU THAM ERICA // Departs 11 May 2013 21 Day Tour 21 day tour with optional 7 night Brazil and Argentina extension

OVERVIEW If you have the time to stay a bit longer, why not extend your adventure with JTW and visit Brazil and Argentina? Day Twenty of your tour will be the same as per the above itinerary, except instead of boarding a flight to Sydney you will board a flight bound for Buenos Aires! Upon arrival in Buenos Aires we will be transferred to our hotel.

BRAZIL & ARGENTINA Day Twenty Two // 31st May 2013 (B, L, D) After breakfast this morning we embark on a morning sightseeing tour. One of the city’s unique features are the many beautiful open squares of colonial Spanish descent. You’ll fall in love with Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martín and Plaza Congreso! Equally impressive, we will see the famous avenues and the symbol of the city, the Obelisk. On our tour we will also travel through the different neighbourhoods, discovering the history and architecture of La Boca, San Telmo and Montserrat. Lunch will be included at a local restaurant. After lunch we take some time out of the city and visit the residential suburbs north of Buenos Aires on the way to Tigre. From Libertador Avenue, pass by the Presidential House in Olivos. We then make a short stop at San Isidro, one of the places where the romanticism of history is still alive, before reaching Tigre. To finish our tour we ride the Catamaran Interislena to see the Delta of the Parana River - a big area of subtropical jungle made up of thousands of small islands. Tonight we see the Tango at a dinner and show! Day Twenty Three // 1st June 2013 (B, L, D) Breakfast is included at the hotel before we set off to explore the atmosphere of country life at a colourful Argentine feast in the Pampas. Buenos Aires is a sprawling metropolis, which abruptly ends into endless fields of green pastures dotted with cattle and horses. Upon arrival at the estancia we will be treated with empanadas, the traditional Argentine meat pies. After an opportunity to stroll around the grounds of the estancia, ride one of the horses, and settle into the slower pace of life, the word arrives that lunch is ready. The main event is lunch, with live entertainment by Gauchos in their typical dress. After lunch has settled the entertainment moves on to a

field for a display of the Gauchos skilful abilities on horseback. Due to the nature of this tour we will be part of a larger group today. Dinner is included upon return to Buenos Aires in a local restaurant. Day Twenty Four // 2nd June 2013 (B, L, D) After breakfast we will be transferred to the airport for our flight to Iguazu Falls. Recognized world-wide, the Iguazu Falls is considered to be one of the most impressive natural beauties on Earth and one of the most incredible natural wonders on the planet, Iguassu is taller than Niagara Falls – and twice as wide – and consists of 275 cascading falls spread out over nearly 2 miles (3.2 km) in a horseshoe shape. The average flow of the waterfalls amounts to approximately 2.6 million gallons (10 million litres) per second. This Argentinian wonder is definitely not to be missed! After lunch at a local restaurant we will have free time to explore the Falls. There are 4 different walking tracks to conquer! Tonight dinner is included at a local restaurant. Day Twenty Five // 3rd June 2013 (B, L, D) We start our morning with breakfast and a visit to the Tropical Bird Park. The Park keeps over 900 birds from 150 species, the majority being Brazilian birds. One third of these species is considered threatened. Afterwards we head into Iguacu National Park, the Brazilian side of the falls where the views are different to the Argentine side. One of Iguassu’s most famous features is a walk through the Devil´s Throat. It is the largest waterfall in the region and is best seen from the Brazilian side. Here, you’ll watch as 14 falls drop 350 feet (107 meters) with such force that a 100foot (30-meter) tall cloud of mist stays permanently suspended overhead. This is the area famous for rainbows, and great photo opportunities abound! After lunch at the falls we board boats to see the Falls from the water. The inflatable bi-motor boats are secure, safe and efficient. The boat travels up-river passing the canyon facing the rapids at a speed that permits the appreciation of the scenery. After seeing ‘Devils Throat’ and the ‘Great Horseshoe’ we travel to the area of the falls names ‘The Three Musketeers. Here the captain manoeuvres the boat in order to get close enough to provide you with a quick and refreshing shower. We return to our hotel, now on the Brazilian side of the falls and dinner is included at a local restaurant. Day Twenty Six // 4th June 2013 (B, L, D) After breakfast we will be transferred to the airport and fly to Rio De Janerio! Our adventure in Rio starts at the Cosme Velho Train Station at the bottom of Corcovado Mountain. We will ride to the top, through the dense Tijuca rain forest to the 38m tall Christ the Redeemer Statue. From the top, we will have panoramic views of Rio and the surrounding countryside. After taking the train back to the bottom of the mountain we will return to our hotel, taking a tour of all the city beaches on the way. Lunch and dinner is included at local restaurants.

Day Twenty Seven // 5th June 2013 (B, L, D) Breakfast is included at the hotel before we continue sightseeing. We will visit the oldest fortress of South America: “Santa Cruz” and the “Contemporary Art Museum” constructed by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer and considered as one of the seven wonders of the modern architecture worldwide. We will next go on a panoramic tour of downtown Rio. You will be able to pass by the Sambadrome, an exhibition area for samba schools and the Metropolitan Cathedral, which stands like a pyramid. We will see the traditional Cinelândia Square, with its historical buildings, the Municipal Theatre, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. After lunch we travel to Sugar Loaf Mountain and travel all the way to the top in two cable car rides. The first cable car takes us to Urca Hill, at a vantage point of 215 meters for beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niteró Bridge and Corcovado Mountain. A second cable car takes us the rest of the way to the top. At 395 meters, we’ll enjoy splendid views of Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and several beaches of Niterói. Tonight’s dinner will definitely be an experience! Indulge in a traditional Brazillian Barbecue dinner and enjoy prime seating for the Plataforma 1 Samba Show... an experience of live music, brilliant costumes, rhythmic drumming and unbelievable dancing! Day Twenty Eight // 6th June 2013 (B, L, D) After breakfast we will travel to Itacuruca and board a traditional schooner to cruise the Sepetiba Bay. This area is rich in natural beauty, where it is normal to spot dolphins, giant king-fishers, parrots, turtles and stingrays. After stops for swims, we will continue to the island where a delicious lunch buffet will be served. After lunch, there will still be time to explore the island before returning to Itacuruça. Tonight we experience the neighbourhood of Lapa and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant that is housed in a renovated building from the end of the XIX century. It specialises in local cuisine and will even include a presentation on how to make their famous cocktail. Day Twenty Nine – Thirty One // 7th June – 9th June 2013 (B, meals in flight) Today after breakfast the day is yours to relax on Copacabana Beach, do some last minute shopping or continue exploring the vibrant city. Mid afternoon we will be transferred to the airport for our flight from Rio to Sydney, via Santiago. Upon arrival in Sydney you will be transferred to your home address in Newcastle.
