ICON- The International Key Club Conference ICON is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it prepares you to learn and interact as a leader. This is especially significant for Juniors and Sophomores thinking about college. Colleges look for an applicant who participates within the community and within the world, i.e. if they actively utilized club opportunities.

Governors Project:

What can D19 do?

1. Host a fundraiser 2. Create a shoe drive 3. Spread awareness to our community.

At Soles4Souls, we turn unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunities by keeping them from going to waste and putting them to good use.

District Project: We’re a global community that believes everyone deserves access to quality education. We’re reshaping the landscape of education.

District Endorced Projects: Kiwanis Kamp "Kamp Kiwanis is a summer camp in the heart of Upstate New York. We serve youth 8-17 years old and adults with special needs in one week long sessions. "

Kiwanis Pediatric Lyme Disease Foundation "The Lyme Disease Project was quickly set up to help pay for medical treatment for children with this disease. Unfortunately, most insurance companies do not pay for its treatment, which is very expensive. Our support is funded through donations from Kiwanis Clubs and individuals and channeled into the Pediatric Lyme Disease Fund. We have 27 active grants for children with the disease."

Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center "The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center Foundation, Inc., is one of three KPTC programs operating in the New York District of Kiwanis. The foundation supports pediatric trauma efforts at the Cohen Children's Medical Center as well as programs throughout the area to protect the safety of children and to improve the ability of local emergency medical services response teams."

Division 19 Service Spotlights: Central Valley Academy Central Valley Academy Key Club ran a two-week-long collection drive to acquire items for victims of the attacks in Ukraine. A local family who came to America from Ukraine helped to organize this effort where the community sent several truckloads overseas. Items such as clothes, toys, games, hygiene products, and many more things were sent to help Ukraine's victims.

Division 19 Service Spotlights: New Hartford Senior Highschool New Hartford Key Club hosted a bake sale after school in order to provide funds for members who are attending ICON! Key Club members worked together to provide cake pops, brownies, and cookies for the bake sale. Through our efforts, we were able to make a profit of $200. The sale was a huge success!

Division 19 Service Spotlights: Westmoreland Highschool Westmoreland Key Club hosted a raffle basket/gift card calendar where we sold tickets for a chance to win a prize out of 25 baskets and gift cards which were either donated or brought in by members. For 2 weeks we pulled out winning tickets where all of the proceeds of the fundraiser went to the Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse.

Division 19 Service Spotlights: Westmoreland Highschool The Westmoreland key club participated in another service project by going out onto their school grounds picking up trash trying to make the planet just a little cleaner.

External Service Spotlights: Division 9! Marking the first Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Better Chinatown hosted the first Asian Pacific American Heritage Parade at 6 Avenue between 34th Street to 59th Street in Manhattan on Sunday, May 15th. There were many special guests that came to show their support including the Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams! Participating in this event as a volunteer at the event we helped set up tents, tables, and chairs, carry dragons, march in the parade, and cheer! We had 100+ volunteers that came from all across NYC! It was a lot of fun and Wendy’s even gave out FREE Frostys to some volunteers!

External Service Spotlights: Division 7!

External Service Spotlights: Division 8a! In collaboration with Stuyvesant Key Club and NEST+M Key Club the Academy of American Studies held a bowling fundraiser. With over 75 participants everyone had the most fun bowling competing against each other. It was also a great chance for people in each division to meet each other in the D8A x D11 event! We raised $700 for Save the Children Ukraine helping to provide children and families impacted from the conflict in Ukraine with immediate aid.

External Service Spotlights: Division 8! The AAPI Parade on May 15th was one of the most enjoyable events for me as a key clubber this year. As I step into the role of secretary for our key club this year and next year, it feels great being able to take a leading role for our club and participating in such a cool event. In addition, I was able to meet some amazing people outside of our club and the chance to meet new people from all over New York makes the experience super valuable and enjoyable. Being able to enjoy time with your friends is also a special moment for me as well because last year we were stuck inside our home and finally being outside and being with your friends helping your community is such a great opportunity.
