Johnson’s Tire Service Hosts Free Tire Safety Inspections
Anchorage, Alaska, 06/06/11-06/11/11----Johnson’s Tire Service is proud to announce their participation in National Tire Safety Week. JTS will be offering free tire safety inspections to promote proper tire safety and maintenance among local drivers. The inspections are available at all five JTS locations in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Soldotna June 6th through the 11th. Drivers are encouraged to take advantage of the tire safety inspections to learn a few simple steps they can take to ensure their tires are in safe driving condition. Research reveals that next to brakes; tires rank as the second most important vehicle safety feature, yet only a third of consumers properly check their tire inflation pressure. Johnson’s Tire Service will check: air pressure, tread life, alignment, as well as, do a rotate and balance. “It’s a great way for local drivers to learn about proper tire maintenance, while easily making sure that their tires are ready for all summer driving they will do.” said Vatau Alenepi, General Manager of Retail Operations, Johnson’s Tire Service. “This free tire safety event will help drivers become more aware of the importance of checking their tires”. “We welcome all drivers to come and learn first-hand about proper tire maintenance,” Alenepi said. “Consumers can maximize their vehicle safety awareness, achieve better fuel economy and get the best performance from their tires”.
