Dear Voter, For 30 years I’ve been proud to call North Orange County my home. It is where I raised my family, grew my business, and volunteered my time. Like many of you, I am frustrated with the direction our state is headed. That’s why I am announcing my candidacy for Assembly. I understand that my candidacy comes at a time when our state is struggling. From the budget crisis, high taxes and overregulation, California is in need of reform. I believe my background makes me equipped to bring real solutions to Sacramento. I will support fiscally responsibility. We need to cut spending, provide tax relief and balance the budget without accounting tricks. Taxpayers deserve nothing less. I will fight to make California business-friendly once again. Too many businesses are leaving California, and too many Californians are out of work. We need to make it easier for businesses to create jobs because this is the key to economic recovery. I will always stand up for law enforcement and public safety. We cannot allow early release of child predators, rapists and murders. We need to keep these criminals locked up. In the coming weeks, I look forward to discussing solutions to solve the problems our state faces. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely,

Linda Ackerman
