The HCOS Weekly Third Edition

Heritage Has Expanded! Headline Story By Samara Paine Few of you may have already heard about the new Alberta Christian Online School- an online distance learning school for Alberta students. Most of those who read this are probably associated with HCS, whether you are a campus student or an online student or a teacher. Alberta Christian Schools consists of three divisions. As BCOS, HCOS, and HCS are all a part of Heritage Christian Schools- ACOS, Roots, and Living Truth Christian School (located in Mirror, Alberta) are all a part of ACS.

There are moments that are a little towards the suggestive side but I’ve found them to be few and far between. Alcohol IS present in many of the episodes but it is usually shown as a problem. (I can’t say too much on that in fear of spoiling it.)

LEVERAGE

Please be praying for Alberta Christian Online School. It just started up this school year, so please pray that enough teachers will be hired to keep up with students’ needs, and that God will bless those who are associated with starting up this new school in all of their hard work. Also, that ACS will continue to thrive as an expansion of HCS and successfully guide Christ-followers in Alberta, spiritually and Plot/Story: educationally, this school in year The plot for ‘Leverage’ is well and in the years to come. fleshed out with believable characters and an exciting storyline. Overview: All in all I found ‘Leverage’ to be an enjoyable show that is not hard on my conscience and a source of clean fun. Chasing After Refuge A Short Story Series By Samara Paine Running, running, running.

As I keep running towards the woods, I observe the massive annihilation and chaos happening around me. Car crashes- everywhere, police sirens going off in every direction, people screaming in terror as officers barge through their doors, demolishing many of their possessions as they search for signs of Christianity. That is why I ran.

The only reason I’m able to keep sprinting forward is because of the adrenaline coursing through my bulging veins. It’s far below zero degrees, yet beads of sweat pours down my face. I don’t dare glance back. The only thing on my mind is to get away. a fire in our old wood stove. Suddenly I hear him hollering our names, telling us to get away. I simply obey his command and rush through our back gate, out onto the street. Owen, rather, leaped inside to try and drive away the intruders. I heard a smack of impact, a shriek, and a crashing of glass as I dash out across the street. Just a year ago, we were completely safe and sound. Free to go to school or even be homeschooled, free to buy anything we’d like, free to go to church, free to do pretty much anything. But ever since the government banned public and private declarations of faith in Christ, everything turned upside down. They appoint and send out groups to find the small amount of us who have endured, torture them, separate them from loved ones, and throw them in jail. Distracted by my thoughts, I trip over a lump in the slippery, icy ground and find myself falling to my knees onto the frozen solid snow… TO BE CONTINUED...
