YEAR 3 ARCHITECTURE SEMESTER 2 ACADEMIC YEAR 2013/14 Like a vibrant flower amongst duller foliage, the ecology research station captures the idea of serendipity - a pleasant, unexpected surprise and experience. The design draws inspiration from its natural surroundings, and aspires to be an integrated part of the mangrove swamps. Over time, the mangrove plants will gradually grow and engulf the structure whole - a true return to nature.
