IDEATION OF PANDA ENTRY
WILDLIFE AMERICA
American Wildlife Park is over 1100 acres of undeveloped farm landscape. This park is a hybrid between a zoo, a safari park, a theme park, and resort, all celebrating the connections and interactions between man and animals. The conceptual focus of this park is on creating authentic places and memorable experiences with American wildlife.
THEME PARK GATE DESIGN
QINGDAO, CHINA, 2019
This them park encompasses 588 acres, and includes hotels, interpretive centers, animal theaters, and zoo that exhibits animals from around the world. Its entry design kicks off the journey with excitement and expectancy.
IDEA 1
The gate is formed by the big wave and arch rock on both sides. The representative ocean and land animals are arranged in a way that shows their energy and behavior patterns.
IDEA 2
Large-scale three animal sculptures imply visitors that they will see animals from seas, lands, and air. 3D sculptures combined with ground 3D painting emphasizes the spatial extension of the design. Animal sculptures can be partially swayed: the eagle wings and the lion’s bristles use materials that flutter in the wind: the octopus body discolors as the viewing angle changes.
LIFE SCIENCE CENTER
QINGDAO, CHINA, 2019The life science center tells the history of life on earth, which tracing back to earlist life 3.5 billion years ago to nowadays. Visitors learn about the relationship of life, environment and evolution through the history. The stories and knowledge are interpreted with high-tech amenities, like hologram and VR, and in the whole exhibit space including floor, walls, ceilings. The goal is to have visitors learn from play, Utimately, people in every age will use their knowledge gaining from the journey to think about how human may physically evolve into through

AFRICAN PRIMATES
Hangzhou Safari Park renovates African Primates in 2019. There are eleven specious of African primates living in the area. Visitors can see the primates living in either the African grassland or forest area. The visitor amenities include kids play area, several seating areas with interpretive design, and a plaza, in which visitors can go to a restroom, a cafe, and a gift shop.

Visitor enjoy the east african extending grassland by walking through the african tribe, and see baboons and patas moneky from the Konso theming huts.

African grassland exhibit area includes a 4-meter-high shotcrete rocks which are a background for the african tribe, and also primates’ buffer, visitors can view primates through moat and glass.

AFRICAN VILLAGE
HANGZHOU SAFARI PARK, CHINA, 2016-2018
This new addition to the safari park contains three extensive elephant exhibits, a hippo exhibit, water bird pool, animal holdi ngs,animal outdoor yard and visitor gathering area. The exhibit can be viewed by pedestrian visitors and free range vehicle drive. The who le zone is thematically inspired by the ancient Zimbabwe ruins and traditional African thatch roofed hut. Hippos and elephants have ple nty of enrichment: hippo pool, deadfall, mud pit, sand pit and thematic shade structure. Visitors have the opportunities to interact w ith the hippos and elephant throught feeding stations, and learn about the african culture and art in thematic African village includin g ars and craft shops, gift shop, and outdoor dance and music performance area.

AL BUSTAN ANIMAL VILLA
Animal Villa in Al Bustan offer visitors intimate interaction with animals. Most time, people immerse in nature with animals in the park, they can see animals from their room, gym, restaurant, meeting room, and lobby. The park contains Arabia, Asia, South America, and Africa zones. Architecture, and landscape design are themed with the culture of each zone.

The lodge is inspired by the stone through the large window on
Turkey is known for its cone-shaped rock formations. In ancient time people in the region carved the These caves form distinctive architecture in the arabian culture. The lodge has spacious backyard glass handrail.
Asia Lodge
The roof is themed with south asian style. The lodge is buit with wood and concret, and with lots of ceiling to floor windows to create the modern asian style and openess feeling.
Lodge stone architecture in Machu Picchu. Visitors can even view animals from the interior space the back side of the lodge.
Africa Lodge
The lodge style is inspired by the adobe housed in Tiebele, Burkina Faso, which has interesting painting pattern in its wall.
Arabia Restaurant
The restaurant offers magnificent view of the animals to the people enjoying dinning.
WHITE OAK ELEPHANT
FLORIDA, U.S.A., 2017
White Oak Elephant conservation park want to renvate their visitor center, and add a backyard garden, a service yard, a visitor parking area, and some visitor amenities around the center. The design proposes a boardwalk in the existing forest, viewing hut for visitors to see elephants, and alternative plans with a nearby elephant exhibits. There are three concept plans with different pros and cons.

A proposed elephant exhibit is right beside the visitor center, visitor amenities are concentrate in an area, visitor can enjoy various activities in walkable distance.
Concept 1 proposes a nearby elephant exhibit to the visitor center, so vistors can see elephants in a short walking distance. Location of service yard let staff easily access to elephant exhibits. Concept vegetation aroundoncept 2 has fewer program, and preserves the most around the site. The boardwalk leads visitors to the existing elephant habitat through a lush forest.
