At some point everyone has witnessed the performances at Bourke street. The design simply enhances this experience. Using performance as a catalyst, it elevates the street experience and utilises the buildings with vacant rooftops and facades.

Additionally, it shall act as a multifunctional pedestrian friendly public space, promoting social interaction, economic activity, arts and culture. This New Bourke Street helps keep the climate moderate and reflects the character of the city.

The design integrates a circular viewing platform that allows one to directly look into the famous graffiti art at Union street. It connects to an overhanging stage that flows into an amphitheatre.

The structural interventions will be cladded in moss tiles. This along with the canopy comes together to unify the various building styles and designs on Bourke street as well as offer more greenery in the CBD area through its mossy component.

As one walks up the amphitheatre one can either grab a drink at the bar or even better go and use the multifunctional roof that transforms into a park and enjoy the view of this iconic street
