I’ve blogged at Ellie’s Favourite Things for 4 years. Showcasing my love for fashion, music and culture, my blog enabled me to have a platform to express my views to a large audience. Having been given many opportunities, I’ve been able to work with some of my favourite brands from ASOS and their student campaign to Urban Outfitters and their new store openings and press days. Furthermore, I have attended London Fashion Week and written content for MyUniDays, Rokit, StyleGossip and a variety of different platforms.

WITH CULOTTES AROUND, LET THE SKIRT STRESS BE GONE! A quick Google, and it turns out that culottes first became popular during the 1500s. Royalty loved the convenience and freedom that Culottes gave them whilst still allowing them to look feminine. . Oh, so this oh-so-on-trend item has a past (well they do say fashion goes full circle, don’t they?). Either way, having the ability to wear something that looks like a skirt without the constant worry of flashing your pants is a right bonus.

FEELING FANCY OR WANT TO KEEP THINGS CASUAL...CULOTTES COVER IT ALL… Splashed over all the Spring ’15 catwalks, culottes are well-and-truly in for summer. Perfect for solving all our transitional weather woes, culottes are a safe, yet stylish in-between. Not blessed with long Taylor Swift-esque legs? Then a flattering high-waisted style is perfect for you. Pair with a button-up shirt, strappy sandals and your favourite bag for a chic, sophisticated look. Fancy keeping things a little more casual? Simply team your culottes with a light spring knit or a denim jacket to tone the statement trend down. .

CULOTTES, WHY THEY’LL ALWAYS BE A CLASSIC PIECE With culottes available in literally every colour, print and style under the sun, you really are spoilt for choice. Paisley, polka-dot, denim, we say start investing. Mix and match with all your favourite wardrobe staples to really get stuck into the trend – it’s going to be here for a while…

CULOTTES, THE STYLE STAPLE YOUR SUMMER WARDROBE NEEDS

#HairCare Hair straighteners, dryers, bleach, backcombing - our has seen it ALL. It’s time to take a couple of steps back and, you know, give your hair a little TLC. Put that random hair serum down and instead open your fridge. We’re going back to basics. With some kitchen staples combined with some homegrown bits, your hair will SO thank you for this. 1 raw egg.

How do you like yours in the morning? On your hair! Rich in fats, protein, naturally moisturising but perfect for oilier hair types

1 cup of dairy.

We’re not fussy. Greek yoghurt or sour cream is all good. Full of good bacteria, these creamy products will help to reverse the damage of all those styling products

3 tablespoons of olive oil.

deep clean. Attracting and locking in moisture, the honey is super soothing and softening (and smells really good too).

1 tablespoon of lemon.

For shiny hair! Aswell as absorbing any excess oil thanks to its acidic and enzymic properties, for a good summer glow a couple of drops will do the trick.

1 avocado.

We SWEAR by it at Juicebox. For weak, tired and dry hair, olive oil is amazing for improving the tensile strength. Itchy scalp? That will be sorted too!

For frizzy hair, an avocado will sort it right out. We’re using them for everything at the moment. Full of natural fats and proteins, nothing beat the moisturising power of those green beauties.

3 tablespoons of honey.

1 Banana.

This ain’t no breakfast smoothie. Amazing to have on your toast, Super rich and super moisturising, amazing on your hair! Honey is a natural antibacterial so perfect for a mashed together this is absolute heaven for your hair.

International High Street Campaign - Gap

From researching the brand and the current issues, I created a campaign to reach a new audience, promote the core brand and revitalise brand image. Titled #BRIDGETHEGAP, I collaborated with a grassroot charity where customers could donate their clothes to the refugee crisis in Europe. After sharing on social media their contribution, they would then be given an exclusive free experience as a reward. From free gig tickets, vouchers, events and city breaks, the new younger target customer will be rewarded. Creating exclusivity, a two way relationship is formed with the charity and the brand creating a positive experience for all. Touch points include an app in-store making it easy for the customer to share on social media, a postcard with details for the till point, transit advertising, shope front and bridge advertising.

Graphic Communication for Fashion Industries - Fat Face AW16 - MARKET RESEARCH

In a project set to look at graphic communication for the fashion industry,I explored the British lifestylae brand Fat Face. Embracing the brands heritage, I researched their stores, market place and customer in order to fully understand the brand. Combined with looking at their current competitors and future trends from LSN Global and WGSN,I combined this with Fat Face’s signature style to create a number of graphics. To accompany the release of my graphics for AW16, I put together a press release and an advertorial designed for The Sunday Times Style supplement.

Rebranding and Promoting Diorissimo

Diorissimo for Dior SS15

Taking the dated perfume from Dior originally released in 1953 , our task was to reinvent the fragrance to a new customer. Embracing the heritage of the fashion house, the lily fragrance and the consumer and fashion trends for SS15 (using WGSN and LSn), I created 4 touch points to rebrand and promote the perfume. From a pop-up store in Covent Garden made up from the different floral elements, to an exclusive window to Selfridges. I summarised my points of promotion with a fashion film consisting of building the fragrance from a flower market to an invite/leaflet filled with seeds and the fragrance.
