TEEN ON TRIAL FOR POSTING PHOTO OF FRIEND Family claim Facebook snap breached daughter’s privacy A 13-YEAR-OLD girl is on trial accused of violating her friend’s privacy by posting her picture on social media without consent. The school pupil is being prosecuted at Abu Dhabi Misdemeanor Court after the photographed girl’s parents filed a case with prosecutors. The court heard the Arab girls were close friends and classmates at their school in Abu Dhabi. Prosecutors said the image was not indecent and the girl was wearing a headscarf. A prosecutor said: “The mother got angry and informed her husband about their daughter’s picture. “When they asked their daughter, she told them that she did not know how her photo was taken and never authorised her friend to post her picture.” Prosecutors said it was clear the girl had posed for the photo.
