Julia Almeida

I am a Brazilian Architectural Assistant and I recently finished the MArch programme Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association, London. During my bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism in São Paulo, Brazil, I spent one year as an Erasmus student in FAUP, Oporto, Portugal. I am experienced with different modelling software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, MicroStation and Maya. Concerning graphical applications and presentations I have strong knowledge of CS5 suite. Regarding professional experience, my major engagement was with the PA Atelier where I collaborated in the design concept and the following-up of the construction phase. This project was selected for the 7th Architecture Biennale of São Paulo in 2007. Additionally, I worked for a period of ten months in an architecture office in Brazil as an intern working mainly with housing design and construction detail.
