URBAN DESIGN PRINCIPLES location: JEWELRY DISTRICT, PROVIDENCE, RI goals + objectives: Dealing with the larger scope of urban planning allowed me the chance to take into consideration more issues which were all included in a proposal asking for three types of housing (dormatory, hotel, and eldery) as well as two venues for public programs. On a site in the Jewery Discrit of Providence, RI, I implemented 150 units for housing as well as a market. restaurant and a library for the convenience of the nearby campus of Brown University.

DIGTAL REPRESENTATION location: LINCOLN CENTER, NEW YORK, NY goals + objectives: This course gave me the tools of digital modeling and creating renderings. I was asked to use these tools to create a site specific proposal. I placed my installation in front of Lincoln Center in New York City. My installation was designed to provide a runway for fashion shows which would take place at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Center, as well as offer seating for spectators, each element integrated with one another.

BLOSSOM COMMUNITY GARDEN CHINESE CHRISTIAN CHURCH, PAWTUCKET, RI design + build studio : spring 2011 professor : enrique matrtinez 15

BLOSSOM COMMUNITY GARDEN location: PAWTUCKET, RI goals + objectives: For this design-build project, our studio was given a site in Pawtucket, RI where we were then going to build a community garden for the Chinese Christian Church of Rhode Island and the nearby YMCA and retirement homes. This site would also be used as an educational to for the surrounding elementary, junior high, and high schools. Over the course of 12 weeks, the first half was dedicated to design collaboration from seven designs down to one. The second half of the twelve weeks was dedicated to the on-site construction of our design. 16

TEXTILES MUSEUM ANNEX location: WASHINGTON STREET, PROVIDENCE, RI goals + objectives: This studio took place in collaboration with the Interior Architecture Department. The Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art needed an annex for their Textiles Exhibition. Between the re-programming of the existing George C. Arnold building in downtown Providence, and the extensions into the back parkinglot, my goal was to create a connected museum and gallery space along with offices and museum shops and a bookstore.

YENIKAPI, ISTANBUL advanced studio : fall 2012 professor : tulay atak 27

MEGAFORM location: YENIKAPI, ISTANBUL goals + objectives: Based around the Yenikapi transit station in Istanbul, Turkey, this studio’s purpose was to create a megaform incorperating a high school, archaeological archive, research facilities, museum, train and bus stations, ferry port, and commercial retail units. All of these programs, when placed together, equated to approximately one million square feet of designed space.

COMPUTATIONAL DRAWING CORTES STREET, BOSTON, MA advanced studio : spring 2013 professor : carl lostritto 33

COMPUTATIONAL DRAWING location: CORTES STREET, BOSTON, MA goals + objectives: Using programs such as Python and Rhino, this studio aimed at expirementing and problem solving through writing code and plotting drawings. Working with a site and Boston, we were asked to incorperate 5 racquetball courts as well as all the proper facilities required to host such courts. Integrating coded design as well as required features offered for a challenging yet gratifying sports center.

HORSENECK BAY, WESTPORT, MA integrated building systems : fall 2013 professor : laura briggs 41

INTEGRATED BUILDING SYSTEMS location: HORSENECK BAY, WESTPORT, MA goals + objectives: With the redesigning of the Buzzard’s Bay Brewery we approached the project with an eco-friendly and efficiency mindset. We designed a Net Zero building with sustainable materials and Passiv Haus regulations. The design include brewing facilities, packaging facilities, tasting platform, store, and managment offices.
