The plot is situated in the Sant Gervasi district in Barcelona, on a site overlooking two streets of the city; C/ Musitu and C/ Bertran and facing one of the main parks of Barcelona, the Parc del Turó del Putxet. The proposed exercise was to create a small building of domestic housing character for a twentieth century art collector, which had to integrate 10 different artworks and a tree. To harmonize with the site and fulfill the requested program, taking into consideration the existing regulations of the site and the irregular topography, the house has two main volumes, accurately designed, connected by a gallery giving to an interior courtyard. By using the three main materials (glass, brick and wood) at their most, we achive a modern and integrated exterior with the existing surroundings, and an illuminated and efficient interior. The building counts in the ground floor with an entrance, a sculpture hall, a library, a living room with a chimney, an art corridor, a dinning room, a kitchen with a storage room and a laundry room. In the second floor, two single bedrooms and a bathroom and the parking are placed. For the third floor, one of the volumes counts with a double bedroom with a dressing room, bathroom and an office with a terrace, while in the other volume the guest room with bathroom and terrace are located. In the central area between volumes, a garden and a barbacue area are proposed.

LFJTL7G;UVFIN:OMPM:WGIXM The building is situated in Cala Vinya urbanization in Cap Salou, Tarragona, on a site overloooking the streets Ctra. de la Costa and C/ de les Pedres Folgueres; west facade facing the Cala Vinya apartments and east facade facing a protected green area. The building was before the apartment-hotel, Duna Park. The proposed exercise was to redesign the old version of the original building; by preserving the 3m span structure and adding volume in the east façade. The building had to be used for apartments and communal spaces with a rooftop, containing a restaurant on the basement for the public and including an underground car park for the same building’s users; keeping in mind the construction and installation further developed. To solve the structural issue and to fulfill the requested program, the corridor of the east façade is enlarged to allow communication and enclosed by glass, letting light penetrate and giving views to the green area. By combining two 3m spans, it is created a small, opened apartment with a terrace and a big opening, giving views to the sea and lighting the whole interior. The main materials used are brick, wood and glass, which harmonize with the site and create a feeling of being into the nature.

LFJTL7G;UVFIN:OMPM:WGIXM The proposed exercise was to analyse the existing construction of the already existing Cala Vinya and modify it according to the new design, keeping the main structure and materials. The project starts with the cleaning up and flattening of the terrain, followed by the earthworks in which the excavation to the parking level is done. After it, the shallow foundations of the two-face and retaining walls are executed, leading to the structure composed by pilars in the lower floors and load-bearing walls in the upper ones. The facade is designed by SATE system (a system with acoustic and thermal insulation from the exterior of the facade), and for the windows, the Cor-60 CC16 model from Cortizo is used. The construction of Cala Vinya, have been designed according to CTE Spanish regulations.

The plot is situated in the city of Barcelona, in the ‘Barri de la Plata’, located in the district of Sant Martí, Poblenou. This neighborhood, which is sitted in between the ‘Rambla de Poblenou’, the cementry of the neighborhood and the train railways, is the area of the people who immigrated from Valencia. It’s a block in the middle of industries and wodkshops which was a small village for the working class people. The neighborhood is called like this, as the workers earned their salary in ‘plata’ coins. Poblenou is mainly a working and industrial neighborhood, which in the industrial revolution was the eipicenter of the Catalan and Iberian industry; at that time, workers, moved there and built their homes. The neighborhood is close to the beach of Barcelona, and with a proximity to a variety of shopping centers, green parks, bars and restaurants. The main idea of the project is to bring life and people to Poblenou’s district as well as activating the neighbor in a working manner. To achieve this, it is proposed an office building with several public parts and a cafeteria for all ages, opened to working adults and students. The ground floors of the two bulidings are mainly opened to the exterior, giving to the plaza and to the existing chamfer in order to receive people and being accessible to everyone, allowing the neighbors to use the spaces installed in this level . According to the city’s regulations, both buildings have a height of GF+4 floors, adding a double height volume in the entrance of the office building where all the common and public relations are going to be taken place.

The project brief asked for the design of a winery in a plot situated on the outskirts of the town of Falset, about 2km from the town center. On an existing plot of about 24.9ha where there is already a farmhouse built. This plot also has a number of existing vineyards and several fruit trees as well as part of a pine forest. As for the topography, in the northern half it is steep and sloped, while in the southern half the slope moderates. The brief of the project asked for the design of not a conventional winery but a winery which incorporates a small boutique hotel; a building which must fullfill the functions of an in- dustrial winery and must as well allow guests and visitors to spend the night. The virtues of a hotel must coexist with the needs of a winery which produces about few thousands of wine bottles per year. An industrial building, which requires a solid construction with spe- cial conditions, needs and integrating specific machinery while respecting wine and nature . A winery opposed to a hotel with the objective of making the public feel comfortable, with the maximum calm and silence possible, always overcoming the needs of the visitors. Thus, in regard to the program, several rooms are requested depending on the use. The in- dustrial part needs: a reception and selection room for the grapes to be sorted, an earthware jar store, a barrel store, a barrel cleaning and reparation room, a bottling and labelling plant, an oenologist lab to check the conditions of the wine, an expedition storage for the finished bottle wines, machinery and regular storage rooms and cabinets, changing rooms and toilets for the workers and a vertical communications core. For the cellar and hotel is asked a recep- tion area with a waiting room, a winetasting room, an area with a winebar and shop, 8 dou- ble rooms which include a sleeping area, living area, bathroom and small terrace, toilets for the winery guests and visitors and vertical and horizonal communications. areas and terraces.

-abstractAfter Fascist Italy resigned from the alliance with Nazist Germany the 8th of October 1943, the Wehrmacht captured around 650,000 Italian soldiers and officers -considered as traitors- and deported them to the German Reich and the occupied territories. From 1943 to 1945, many Italians were forced into forced labor in camps in Germany; the Nazi regime wanted to exploit the labour of the Italians -prisoners of war declared to be military internees. Many of these Italians were placed in concentration camps and lived under terrible condi- tions; hunger, disease and violence shaped the daily lifes of the prisoners and many of them were hurt to death. During the World War II, Hamburg had approximately 500,000 forced labourers from which around 50,000 were deported Italian militaries. They were accommodated in approximately 1,300 camps spread throughout the city, and used in about 1,000 companies in Hamburg from all economy sectors and employed in countless households and farms as well. [ in corso ] We got the assignement of creating an intervention in the monument ‘Mahnmal für die Opfer der Zwangsarbeit’ from Forum Wasserkunst at Kaltehofe. After thinking of a new design, we noticed that the research realized until now was incomplete -no evidence or proof of the 139 forced labours names was registered. For [in corso] we tried to establish a proper research which would give a reliable meaning to the monument in order to renovate the existing one and be able to refer to it as an individual memorial for each victim instead of a common one. By getting in contact with various associations and companies from all over Europe we have found reliable connections between official archived files and the names written in the monument -a new conducted research has been made and the tranformation of the existing monument has now become possible. !"#$%&'()#"('*%(#!%+(,#+-,%+'.(/012(&#+'"34-'3#+('#('*%(%-"#!%0+(*%"3'05%(/01 &%6%4"0'%/(3+(*0,4-"5(#+(.%!'%,4%"(7'*(89:;

=MNLGVKIGMP:G:NTL[;NGOM: To the north-west of the city of Solsona stands on a hill the fortification called Castellvell, which currently houses the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Remei, built in Gothic times on the old Romanesque chapel. The castle is a remarkable complex built in the center of a large, trapezoidal esplanade. The enclosure was protected by four circular towers located at the corners and joined by side walls, of which only one is preserved intact. It has a central body from the 13th-14th centuries, when it was renovated and enlarged. Demolished in 1872, much of the perimeter walls and bases of the towers remain, which have been restored. The demolition of the church took place in the last century, the remains of which have recently been uncovered (1977-78). The church of Sant Michel was a parish church in the towns of Castellvell and Trevics, as early as the 12th century until the 19th century. It was replaced by the parish of Brics, which had been a suffragan. The path that leads to this castle is exactly the same as the one that leads us to the Church of Sant Miquel de Castellvell, and in an Iberian village it is located on the hill to the west of Castellvell (Olius, Solsonès). It is a large town that possibly forms the oldest habitat site in the region. -interventionThe main objective of the proposal is to activate the heritage and tourism of the Castellvell fortification, together with the ruins of the Iberian village and the Church of Sant Miquel. In order to achieve this goal, we have designed a walkway that connects the Iberian ruins, with a new volume, which recreates the old bell tower and the church, but with the function of an information tourist center that enjoys ‘a viewpoint on its third floor. The main material designed for this intervention is corten steel.

The building is situated in the city of Bielefeld, Germany. The plot is located in the entrance of the city, close to the Bielefeld Art Museum and the Old City Center. The proposal was to create an office building as the headquarters of an important German Construction Company. The main idea was to create offices which could offer a working environment that enabled and promoted communication, knowledge transfer and creativity, but that also allowed concentrated and complex activities. By creating bigger and more important rooms for the bosses offices, places for opened working and interaction between workers, and interior libraries. The buildling also offeres a cafeteria in the groundfloor, opened to the public and to the exterior plaza and a gym and a restaurant in the upper floors taking advantage of the views and the natural ilumination. In addition, the main intention of the building, according to the distribution and the structure is to design a building that can be used efficeintly and be highly flexible in terms of adapting to changing requieremnts or third-party use. The building counts with a main hall, a reception, a cafeteria, meeting rooms, conference rooms, storage areas, a restaurant in the fifth floor, and a gym in the sixth and seventh floors. PPTV:7MLOFPKIM:YA@S Llum BCN is a night festival held annually in the city of Barcelona since 2012, on the occasion of the city’s Winter Main Festival. The initiative employs tradition and “new forms of artistic expression” in which the light is the protagonist in the centre of the city, transforming emblematic buildings and interior courtyards. Llum BCN counts with the participation of different entities, professors and students from different design schools and universities from the city and its surroundings. Our proposal is located in Poblenou district in Barcelona, a district that was mainly industrial in the past. For our project, we decided to bring back the feeling of the neighborhood in the past; which, some years ago, was mainly an industrial district. By creating holes in dark panels disposed as boxes and placing light and smoke machines inside, we were able to achieve the same sensation as the one from the light back then passing through the factory windows lighting the interior. The project is based in the interaction between black and fog until it makes you loose your landmark.
