HABITAT ON THE MOON
The Lunar environment provide freedom for imagination and exploration. Yet in order survive, man would have to situated in an absolute controlled environment. A new kind of relationship between man and built environment is established with the aid of robotic intelligence.

The site is at Shackleton Crater, the south pole of the Moon, where NASA’s Constellation project was proposed. It is the site of eternal sunlight and potential existence of water

Robotic circulation become part of the habitation, situating between the units ,greehouse and air-locks. This can be viewd from the windows and circulations bridges as part of the virtual landscape.
REGOLITH CONTROL
Vertical support is connected to the air lock. A long distance between the airlock and the habitable space ensure the minimum amount of regolith from entering the habitation.

From the habitation one can view the leisure garden inside the greenhouse. The solar trees which is used to collected solar energy from the eternal sunlight of the site will give out lights and colours when Shackleton Crater is in eternal darkness.

CIRCRADIAN RHYTHM
A total of 17 capsules provide habitation for 1-2 people in each. The furniture and walls are movable into different configs for variation in the interior space. DIGITAL SCREENS CONTROL THE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENT WITH DIFFERENT LIGHTING EFFECT TO REGULATE THE CIRCADIAN RHYTHM.

LIFE SUPPORT
The robotic circulation system is used also as life support system. Energy and water are transported through the robotic circulation. Water is stored in the membrane of the living cells. The water storage , with 1m in thickness is used also radiation shield for the habitant.

HOLLAND TUNNEL
The entrance of Holland Tunnel is a place full of flux : vehicular flow, wind, noise and water. Wind and sound has been taken as the major attributes to define circulation, programatic and enviromental strategies of the design. Wind and sound are both movements that can provoke instant sensations of people.

AIRLAB - EARTH INSITITUTE SOUND, AIR AND SPONGE Starting from a serious of model investigation, the Air Lab use porosity in space and membrane for the Air Lab , a science facility for studying climate change of the Earth Institute, Columbia University in downtown Manhattan. Inspired by the sponge material exploration the building seek to brought in information and visitors into the facilities while ensure the privacy for the scientists.
The project is started from two different side of investigation: Material Studies and Site Strategies. Material: By studying the performance of soft and hard expandable foam with balloons. The performance of the solid and void can the suggest program and membrane possibilities. Site: The sponge like material performance is associated with the character of the site: The building is interpret as a sponge of absorbing and dispersing the sound and air of the site.

POROSITY
Membrane of the Air Lab create spaces with different porosity and thus different degree of privacy. Visitors, on the other hand, could be informed by the air and sound passes through the membranes for the science activities behind the enclosed spaces.

Work Station for One Person for 24 Hours Shift in Extreme Condition
POROSITY
A cell for climatologist working in extreme environment for a 12/12 hours shift, the climatologist station is a space that would change with the environment.
Inspired by the term ‘phenomenological’, the cell is constructure by overlaying spheres of different contents which monitor the temperature, light and colour of the space.

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
The spheres of different size will be transported to site hollowly. The spheres can be filled elements that is abandon: water or sand to become structural. The combination of different material enhance phenomenological effect inside the station.

Gyroscopic Field Nylon rings joined by simple rods allow for 360 degrees of rotation. Printed resin caps attached to the center of each series of rings provide color variation.
Steel wire wrapped around the outer edge of each ring adds a third material quality to the object and acts as a force attractor.
1. There will be 3 constant fields acting on the object a. Gravitational field b. Magnetic field c. Air Pressure
2. The object rotates due to the field. The space occupied by the object remains the same.
3. Another volume is formed when several of the objects aggregate. The performance of the field is the same between the original object and the aggregated model.
Gyroscopic Field Activated by the force of a magnet the rings open and rotate creating a threedimensional surface transformation.
The rotating rings are printed within a nylon connection system that joins the rings together and also houses the rails and joints that allow for the gyroscopic movement.
The nylon connection system has points for object to object connections. These points allow for connections in multiple directions.
4. To intensify the performance of the fields multiple scales of the object are constructed to perform at different dimensions
5. The movement of the object induces new magnetic fields and air pressure that start to affect the neighbouring object, which a feedback loop is created between them.
6. The observation of the object is unrelated to the visual angles but only in relationship to the area that the fileds are acting upon.

POST PRODUCTION
Nylon 3D printing allows post production of attaching metal wire and resin capping. The post production is crucial for the object by bring megnetic properties to it.
