ASIC Compliance In Australia, under the Corporations Act, individuals wishing to provide financial product advice to retail clients are required to meet initial and ongoing educational requirements as outlined in ASIC Regulatory Guideline 146 (RG 146). Credit licence holders need to ensure that their representatives are adequately trained, as set out in the ASIC Regulatory Guide 206 (RG 206).

Kaplan Professional’s Financial Planner Level 1 course will provide you with RG 146 compliance and enable you to deliver:

Kaplan’s Certificate IV in Credit Management is ideal for new entrants working for Australian credit licensees (ACLs), such as banks and credit unions and roles including responsible managers and credit representatives. It focuses on providing you with the skills and knowledge needed to fill a variety of credit-related roles while meeting the education requirements outlined in ASIC’s RG 206.

TASA 2009 and the TPB Code of Professional Conduct Developed in partnership with The Tax Institute, this course meets the Tax Practitioner Board’s requirements under TPB (I) 10/2011. “Interactive, innovative

gamification designed to give individuals confidence when entering the workforce.”

This engaging online program teaches individuals fundamental work and life skills to help them transition into the workforce. WorkReady is an online gamified e-learning product designed for individuals wanting to enter the workforce or launch their professional career. The purpose of the program is to constructively contribute to an individual’s work readiness. WorkReady contextualises the real-world situation of an individual seeking work, gaining a position and undertaking a range of common workplace tasks. The program eases the burden of induction/orientation. Using a series of job searching and workplace scenarios, along with access to technical information, individuals can practice, in a safe environment, making career and professional decisions to gain some understanding of the probable consequences, including: >> uncertainties about how to accept or decline a workplace instruction >> managing their own work >> participating in and leading team projects >> participating in a client visit

The Diploma of Technical Analysis is the premier technical analysis qualification available in Australia through the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA), providing a broad and deep understanding of technical analysis to the highest international professional standards. This qualification is suitable for self-directed private traders/investors and will ensure their breadth and depth of knowledge is fitting for the management of their own funds.

The NZX Diploma provides you with the specialist technical knowledge and critical skills necessary to progress into leadership positions within the industry and to operate effectively in ever-changing local and global markets. The NZX Diploma is the minimum educational qualification required to become an accredited NZX Advisor.

The Business Valuation Specialisation Program is offered to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand members via two pathways.

Course structure Kaplan Professional, in conjunction with the ATAA is offering two subjects that lead to the Diploma of Technical Analysis awarded by the ATAA.

Chartered Accountants are required to complete four (4) compulsory postgraduate subjects.

Pathway 2 Pathway 2 is available to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand members who can demonstrate a minimum of four years of practical business valuation experience within the previous 10 years. Chartered Accountants are required to complete a business valuation specialist course and assessment. The Certificate IV in Frontline Management focuses on the ‘non-technical’ skills and knowledge necessary for effective participation in the workforce, including critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration and communication. Student Success Team

Postgraduate Student Advisers

Our Student Success team is available to provide assessment support to students. The team focuses on facilitating queries between students and assessors. Another key responsibility of the Student Success team is to monitor the academic progress of students in their studies. The team has systems in place to ensure the early detection of students who are at risk of not making satisfactory progress. Appropriate support mechanisms are then implemented to assist students successfully complete their chosen course.

As part of Kaplan’s ‘Adviser for Life’ program, when a student enrols in a postgraduate course with us, they are allocated a dedicated Student Adviser who will be a point of contact throughout their studies. Student Advisers are on hand to keep students up to date with important information as well as being available to assist in decisions about subject enrolments and to offer general advice.

Exemption Service The Kaplan Professional Exemption Service allows students to apply for an exemption based on previous training, study and work experience.

Kaplan Professional’s exemption service allows students to apply for an exemption based on previous training, study and work experience. Recognition of Prior Learning Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is where relevant prior study satisfies the learning outcomes of the Kaplan subject(s).

Recognition of Current Competency Recognition of current competency (RCC) is where the relevant skills and knowledge have been satisfied through a combination of work experience and prior study.

Mutual Recognition Mutual recognition (MR) is where the units of competency attained from another registered training organisation are equivalent to the units of competency in the Kaplan subject being exempted.

Automatic Exemptions Automatic exemptions may be applicable to qualified accountants, certified financial planners and members of other professional associations.
