A little about me Junior Graphic Designer Position I would love to be considered as a strong candidate for a role within your studio. So, why choose me over every other graduate fighting for the opportunity to apply? Minor experience as a junior designer + graduating from Monash University has helped me to become creatively and visually minded, able to rationalise a conceptual ideas. Able to push the further, believing identity and language hold a key to strong communication. Experienced at working with others, yet able to strive independently, adapting to new environments and learning new skills quickly. Organised and punctual, used to working within strict deadlines and do not believe in the concept of a 9-5 job; prefer very early mornings and sometimes push past end of day when work needs to be refined.

It includes news and events that take place in Melbourne, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. During the period of time there, I was able to adapt quickly and create quick graphics to compliment the stories written by their journalists, create digital content for their social media websites like facebook, instagram and pinterest and also the invitations to their events throughout the year. THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG Charlie is an experimental font that I created for a theatre. The idea was to be consistantly inconsistant and this evokes a sense of playfulness just like Charlie himself. Charlie was inspired by heavy brush strokes, stencil fonts and takes the strikethrough characteristics from one of my earlier fonts called Geometrica bold. The font was created to be used in marketing material for a theatre that encompasses videos from the victorian era and from the silent film era.

Melbourne graffiti collage A collage for a self-initiated project. The streets of Melbourne have always been a source of inspiration in my work. The abstraction of forms combined with vibrant use of colour has always fascinated me. I explored a range of mediums in creating this collage, including chalk, charcoal, cut paper, soy sauce, graphite, coffee and water colour.

MADA Newsprint An experimental publication from my final year at Monash University. Beginning with the premise ‘The time is today’, we were asked to select an article from the news that appeared in The Age, Herald Sun, The Australian Financial Review or The Australian printed newspapers on either 31 July 2015 or 11 September 2015. The aim of the project was to re-shape ‘today’s news’, to ensure the design engages the reader and that the information is accessible. When compiled together the unconventional publication forms a patchwork of news, capturing stories ranging infrastructure to sport, politics, immigration, gender equality and media to name just a few. However, as single sheets are extracted the greater message of each response can be revealed.
