Additional items to include when enrolling in these classes are a scope, cleaning kit, pen and pencil, calculator, eye and ear protection, comfortable and durable clothing and footwear, water and snacks for during the day, shooting mat, depending on the time of the year sunscreen and bug spray.

A word of caution is to check with the course managers and instructors that if the intention is to use privately owned rifles, then check that it is up to standard and meets all requirements to keep up with the course.
