Exercise 02 The axonometric diagram shows both the elevation and section of a three storey building, with a prefabricated façade and flat and inverted roof. It stands on a reinforced concrete structure, with 20 cm thick slabs and cylindrical pillars of 35 cm in diameter, located where indicated. The roof of ground floor will include a false ceiling. The facade has a stainless steel mesh for shading. The exercise should be resolved in accordance with the following data: Group 1 8 cm thick precast concrete panels, sandblasted in the outer layer; 10 cm thick rock wool insulation; 15 mm thick plasterboard panels with acrylic paint; 70 mm PVC swinging windows. Group 2 GFRC panels, finished with a silicone mould imitating wood; a steel framing system (stud frame) of 80.40.2 mm rectangular sections; 8 cm thick projected polyurethane insulation; 15 mm plasterboard panels with acrylic paint; 60 mm coated aluminium swinging windows. Group 3 Sandwich metal panels (Arcelor Mittal Arga Plus type) with a 0.7 mm thick lacquered galvanized steel sheet, and a 60 mm polyurethane core; 6 cm thick rock wool insulation; 15 mm plasterboard panels with acrylic paint; 60 mm lacquered aluminium swinging windows Lacquered aluminum 60 mm. swinging windows. A general 1:50 elevation, representing the design of panels, and section B-B’ will be completed in the classroom, while a detailed panel and section A-A’ will be submitted by October 15. Be submittted basic information only –drawings and captions, as specified in the guidelines. Sections are requested in an approximate 1:10 scale, including all façades and windows. Both the steel mesh and the flat roof will be represented by a single line. Missing data, if any, should be supposed by the student – as this will lead each one to different details. Details should include all information necessary to build the façade: dimensions, components, materials, etc.
