Print Editorial Wardrobe

This is an editorial of Karlie Kloss in Vogue. This look shows the power of mixing and matching prints. Although there are lots of prints, colors and textures, they all compliment each other and became a beautiful photo.

This is another editorial from Vogue. I love all the different colors and how it all works together. This is another great example of mix and match success. There’s polka dots on her dress, stripes on her socks and another pattern on the hat. The socks and patterned hat aren’t overpowering, so the dress still becomes the focal point. I also love the makeup and the chunky necklace.

This is an editorial from Vogue Korea, and is an imitation of the 1920s style. I love the style, clothes and feel of this photo. The models are dressed in neutral shades of white, beige and pink and they are focal point of this photo. Their clothes are reminiscent of the ‘20s style, and they look like they’re enjoying their time at the restaurant.

Print Commercial Wardrobe This is a fragrance ad for Chanel’s famous No.5 perfume. I love the simplicity of the shoot. Since the bottle is transparent, the model played around and achieved this super sophisticated pose. The Chanel bottle is sleek and clean and so is her face and her upper body. Nothing takes away from the product, and I think that’s what makes it so effective.

This is a commercial editorial for L’Oreal Paris lip products. Barbara Palvin is the model and she is wearing the lipstick in this makeup look. I like how she left her face natural and only had the lips be the pop of color. You can tell they are trying to sell this color and showing off how beautiful it looks on the model.

Model Gisele Bündchen shot a Pantene hair commercial. I love how her hair looks like its Xlying, but it’s still neat and beautiful. Her hair looks like it could never get tangled. Also, Gisele looks beautiful, as always, and her makeup look compliments the style.

Location Styling This is the kind of design I would want for my future living room. I love the different textures and shapes used on the walls, tables and decorations. Also, the vibrant colors of gold and royal blue attracts the eye instantly. Also, the Xloor has a cool design and goes well with the dynamic theme of the room.

This is another location styling I love. There is minimal color, but the wood used compliments the white on the sofa and rug. I also love how nature is incorporated into the styling. There’s the wooden stool and Xloors, the leaves on the side table and the fox pillow in the middle of the room. These are the little pops of color that makes this room feel more lively. If this room was all white, it could look quite boring.

This room also has a different style from the previous rooms. This room has a laid back, relax vibe. I love the muted pink wall because it adds color to the muted grey Xloor and the ceiling. I also love the different frames and borders used for the pictures hung on the wall. The small sofa looks cozy to just sit and relax.

Props This is an editorial from Vogue Korea. I love the style and feel of this photo. I think the melon and hat on top of the model’s head deXinitely adds to the photo. I think the whole concept is being a little silly. The model’s glasses are quite bug-‐eye like, and the big melon and hat only adds more humor into it.

The colorful umbrellas in the background adds a fun touch to this photo. The purple umbrellas go perfectly with the purple Xlowers on the model’s dress. Also, I am amazed that even though there are so many different Xlowers, none of them clash.

This is the famous Dior editorial. I love the balloons in this photo because it adds fun colors to a black and white look. Without the balloons, the background would be a cream color, and it would not create the fun feel.

Hair/Makeup I love how the eye makeup draws in the viewer. It’s strong, unique and stunning all at the same time. Also, the fur hat adds warmth to the photo. I think the use of fur instead of her hair makes this photo mysterious and different.

I love the sassy and chic vibe this photo brings to the audience. The short, choppy hair makes her look sassy and the dark, burgundy lips add that chic, sophisticated look. Because the hair and lips are so strong, the makeup artist kept the eyes and brows to a minimum.

I chose this photo because I fell in love with the futuristic hair and makeup. Even though there are at least Xive different colors used on her face, it doesn’t look tacky or too much. I think the model looks beautiful. The hair also has several colors mixed and makes this unique look. Lastly, I really like the way her hair is Xlying and natural looking.

Posture/Pose

This is a Tom Ford editorial shoot. I love the model’s Xierce look and pose in this photo. She is holding the big Tom Ford bag with power and looks like she is ready to the take over the photo shoot.

The model’s clothes, accessories and pose adds a lot of mystery to this photo. Because of the thin black and white stripes of her shirt, you can’t tell where her arms are placed. She’s also lifting her face, looking up and seems like she is thinking.

I love the movement of the model’s body and dress in this photo. While jumping, the model kept her arms and legs sharp and angled, and had the dress Xlow. I love that she decided structure her body this way, instead of looking graceful. The mannequin like pose makes the photo more beautiful.

Celebrity Styling Rihanna looks fabulous on and off stage. Here, she is wearing denim on denim, a style that isn’t easy to pull off. Because it’s Rihanna, she’s able to make this a must-‐have look. She used two different shades of denim, so the colors don’t look too coordinated. She tied the front of the shirt to make it more Xlirty and girly.

This is a shot of actress Jamie Chung out and about in Los Angeles. She styled her ripped boyfriend jeans with a bright red, oversized blazer with a white tee inside. She dressed up her look with pumps and cat-‐eye sunglasses. She looks comfy, chic and Xierce in this outXit.

I can’t help but fall in love with Miranda’s casual style. She looks chic in this black and gray ensemble. She added leather to give her outXit more texture. Also, the pop of chambray on gives this rather dark outXit more color.

Off Figure I love this off Xigure photo. This is a such a creative way of showing accessories off the body. The leather bags became the body of an invisible person. The gloves, shoes, tie, sunglasses and hat are used to on the imaginary person, so it can more closely portray a real body.

This is a cosmetic off Xigure photo. Love the use of gold on the case designs. Also, the clear stands holding the makeup looks sleek and doesn’t distract the product.

This is a different take on styling towels. I love that the towels aren’t just folded and stacked, but they decided to leave it hanging on a rope. I love how it’s layered by size, the largest towel being on the bottom and the smallest towel doesn’t look perfect. It looks used, but that give it a more natural feel to this photo. Lastly, the blue and gray color scheme really work well together.

Food Styling I love this photo because it’s different and it makes me hungry. This food styling is different from any I’ve seem before. It’s a big brownie or cake that got crushed with forks and spoons. Also, the pink cream adds color to the cake. I also think that the texture of the cake is shown, and it makes people want to eat it.

This isn’t a typical macaron photo, there’s different colors and Xlavors and some are half eaten. The macarons are scattered all on the table, and some of them are open in half to be ready to eat. I love the spoon with the cream in the middle of the photo because it seems like someone is ready to eat.

These photos really inspire me and it’s such a creative way to style food. The illustrations correlate with the food served on top. The colors of all four of these meals go hand in hand. If there weren’t the illustrations, the food on the plate wouldn’t look so good.

Tabletop Styling This is a tabletop of a wedding, and I love the colors and different textures used to make this a lovely tabletop. The wooden table compliments well with the plates, candle and Xlower holders. Although all the colors are muted, the Xlowers on the table add a feminine touch.

This is a tabletop style I could see at a Kate Spade dinner party. Love the black and white striped table and how it peeps through from the transparent plate. The details of the gold plate border and the utensils look great with the black and white. The Xlowers add hints of pink, red and coral colors which pops when it’s styled with the black and white.

This is a tabletop style I would use to invite my girlfriends over for a brunch or afternoon tea party. The colors are so fun and spring-‐like. I love the lilac and the pop of yellow on the napkin. I also like the creative name display with the scrabble game pieces. Some pieces fell to the table and I like that no one decided to perfect it. If the name was too neat, the photo wouldn’t give off the same feeling to this table set.

Film/TV Wardrobe

This is Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen from the Gossip Girl series. Both are super stylish in the show, but they each have their own style. Blair (left) is more girly, preppy and more put together. Serena (right) has a more laid back style. She likes to be comfortable and also like to wear oversized jackets and coats to imitate a boyish esque style.

This is a picture of Spencer Hastings in the popular show, Pretty Little Liars. I have only watched a few episodes of PLL, but always thought Spencer had the cutest outXits. Being a high school student in the show, Spencer wears school appropriate dresses, comfy jackets and mix match outXits. I love the ensemble she is wearing to the left. She wore a lace dress and a cardigan on top make it less revealing. Also, she added a belt to deXine her waistline.

The middle character is EfXie Trinket from the Hunger Games trilogy. She lives in the wealthy Capitol, and she shows her high status through her clothes. Here, she is wearing a butterXly textured dress and headband. Although avant-‐garde, EfXie is able to pull this look for an everyday casual wear. Her eyelashes also has the butterXly embellishments to add even more oomph to her look. She has such a fun character and personality in the movie, and I think this look shows that successfully.
