H E L L O . I love the creative process! Through my years as a graphic designer I’ve gained
experience in many areas of graphic design including: logo design, advertising, retail packaging and promotional materials, trade show exhibit design, restaurant identity and branding, publication design, signage and wayfinding, and poster design. My design sense leans towards a creative product that’s clean and clever; sometimes refined, other times fun. One of my strengths is brainstorming ways to solve visual problems then providing a variety of well thought-out design directions. Other strengths include attention to detail, organization, and flexibility.

EXPERIENCE
LOGO AND SIGNAGE PA R Q U E D O M P E D R O , B R A Z I L
This massive shopping mall in Brazil needed a visual identity. Once the underlying narrative and name were identified I worked with a team to develop a logo that would reflect the nature-themed identity. Shopping zones with architectural and visual landmarks were then created with the logo as a core visual reference.
RESTAURANT IDENTITY AND BRANDING CILANTRO FRESH MEXICAN GRILL, MAUI
A new-to-Hawaii restaurant, Cilantro, featured fresh, healthy, handmade Mexican food made fast in a casual but hip setting. The restaurant aimed to please the locals along with establishing themselves as a destination for tourists. I provided a range of branding, merchandising, and menu board services to communicate freshness at an affordable price.

This unique twosided business card does double duty for a talented architect/ construction manager. The design is reminiscent of the look of a vintage playing card.

Tampa Salad Company was looking to create a unique yet fresh and healthy look for their new restaurant. They needed to stand apart from the other quick serve restaurants in downtown Tampa. This casual, loud, but family friendly shop catered to healthy and fit individuals who wanted a quick customizable lunch. Several logo options were presented and the final logo became the base for creating a brand for the restaurant. Materials designed for this fresh, affordable brand included: a website, menu boards, business cards, uniforms, take-out menus, suggested interior graphics and colors plus a neon sign.

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS H-E-B, TEXAS
H‑E‑B, a grocery store chain, serves families all over Texas and Mexico. With the redesign of their bakery area they were looking for an updated visual identity for everything from signage to posters to price tags. I explored three approaches for the space. On top is a homey, soft look using warm tones, natural fibers, and cursive typography. Next is a classic handcrafted vintage feel with custom designed illustrations (by David Babcock). Finally, a more traditional approach using wood grain, earthy colors, clean edges and a friendly serif font.

The Bullock Texas State History Museum has a mission to tell “the Story of Texas.” I helped apply the established creative branding style to interior graphics, display signage, and labels throughout the museum.
PUBLICATION DESIGN U C M M AG A Z I N E , M I S S O U R I
Published quarterly by the UCM Alumni Foundation, the UCM Magazine presented feature stories, news and vibrant photography to keep readers current with their alma mater. In 2014 I was hired as a freelance designer to completely redesign the magazine: everything from the masthead to the folios was redesigned. For each issue, I worked closely with the editor and the campus photographer to create a magazine that was engaging to alumni of all ages, but especially to the younger graduates. Working with stories from faculty research initiatives, to student and academic life, to alumni accomplishments gave me opportunities to design strong visual stories to compliment the engaging text.
