Metra's calendar of EVENTS, that lets you know where all the HOT spots are! By: AuntieM4Doro@aol.com

Let’s check out all the Labor Day Festivities in Metraland! …MICHIGAN NECTO (734-994-5436), Friday, August 29th “White Party” with DJ Jace and DVJ Mark. Also “Dragster” featuring Lagania and Estrania! Also its Tony’s moving party this will be his last Dragster!

Greetings my little pets! Labor Day is fast approaching (Monday, September 1st) Labor Day, falls on the first Monday in September; it’s a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country! The first Labor Day was celebrated on Tuesday, September 1882 in New York, in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. Later in years to come it was changed to Mondays so workers would enjoy a long weekend! In the beginning it was thought that the holiday was for construction workers, then for a while it was the service industry i.e. Firemen, police and military. I feel that all who work seriously celebrate Labor Day! Whether man or woman, whether you wear a White color or overalls, if your head, heart and hands are into your daily task, then this great National Holiday celebrates you. All right thinking Americans are “Constructive” Workers! It also means something near and dear to my heart, the chance to party for three days in a row! 20 Metra Magazine, Issue # 843
