News Michigan By: Libby Michigan is in America and is a beautiful place to visit. There is lots of places to visit including The sleeping bear sand dunes and Glen Lake. When you go to Michigan there is a lot of tours to go on and hotels to stay in. The main reason I recommend Michigan is because it is lots of fun and there are a lot of things to do and you can never do all of them. Also if you are just staying for two or three days then there is still something for you to do. In conclusion you have learned about Michigan. I recommended Michigan because of the beautiful sights to see. So please go to Michigan!

All About Japan! By Emi If you want a place that has lot of activities and a whole bunch of skiing, ogashgakogen is the place to go when you're in Japan. First the awesome place is super quiet and the snow is outstanding, it is so soft it feels like clouds and cotton candy. Second is everyone is super nice and cares about you and snowboarding and skiing. also if you get lost the people try to help you. Lastly the food is so good they can even make food for vegetarians and they have a variety of food like italian and japanese food also the noodle are so good!. All in all oga shiga kogen is the best place to be this winter break.

The first reason you should go to New Zealand is because they have really pretty Mountains. You can also find green stone .Green stone is very rare! The second reason is because the food Is very good. You can get this dessert that is called pavlova. It is very good. It is Basically wiped cream with a cake underneath the whipped cream. Also with strawberries and Kiwi fruit on top . The final reason is because it has really good drinks. Like A fluffy. A fluffy is a drink that is like this: It mostly just has fluffy milk. Thai Boxing By Mikail During spring break I watched some thai boxing. To speak to anyone you had to shout. It smelled like popcorn. The kicks were so fast, you couldâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;nt even see them. All you could hear was shouting. People everywhere were betting (we know this because their hands were in the air). Once I almost bet on the winner because I put my hand in the air, but my mom saw me and asked me what I was doing I said that I didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t know and they were doing it, so she said that they were betting and I should 5 stop.

How to make yummy popsicles By Emi Ingredients Tea * Yorert * Lemon juice Orange juice * Jam Process Put some lemon juice at the bottom of the molde. Then you add some yogurt. Then more lemon juice. Add some more yogurt. After you put some orange juice. Add a little more yogurt. Then add some tea. To make it sweet you add some jam of your choice (razberry or strawberry) To top it off you add the rest of the orange juice and some water. You put it in the freezer for 24 hours. And that is how to make yummy popsicles!

So… I see you are looking for a slushie recipe. I can help with that! Just read the article below, and use 10 minutes of you time to make this super slushie! Ingredients: Ice; as much as possible Some kind of Juice (I like to use Vitamin Water) A blender A big wooden spoon A cup (that can hold 20 oz) A smaller cup (like the plastic Ikea ones) A Straw And that’s all! I. Fill of the blender ¾ full with ice. II. After, add juice to the blender until it fills about ¼ of it. III. Put on the top. Mix for about 30 seconds. IV. When the mixture is smooth but still ice-like, use the smaller cup to spoon the slushy in the larger cup.

Ingredients: ~peanut butter 1 cup ~chocolate chips ⅔ cup (or however many you like) ~suger 1 cup ~egg Only 1

-------1. Add the peanut butter, sugar, and egg in a medium size mixing bowl and mix. 2. Slowly add about ⅔ of your chocolate chips into the mix until well combined. 3. Put ice cream scoops of the mix onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. 4. sprinkle your remaining ⅓ of chocolate chips onto the ice cream scoops of mix. 5. Set your oven to 180C or 356F and put the tray in the oven. Cook until brown on edges. 6. They will fall apart if still hot so let them cool and eat up your chewy cookies! 8

Ingredients ½ cup (115 grams or 1 stick) unsalted butter, softened ½ cup (100 grams) granulated or caster sugar ½ cup (90 grams) brown sugar 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 and ½ cups (210 grams) all purpose or plain flour ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ cup (75 grams) chocolate chips, plus a few extra for decorating ½ cup (150 grams) Nutella

Lightly grease an 8 inch skillet with a little butter. Preheat the oven to 320 F (160 C). In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugars using an electric mixer for a minute or two until pale and creamy. Add the egg and the vanilla and beat until combined. Add the sifted flour and baking soda and gently fold using a spatula or wooden spoon. Then stir through the chocolate chips. Divide the cookie dough into two and place half of the dough into your prepared skillet. Press down to form one even layer. Then, spread out the Nutella on top using a small spatula, ensuring you leave a small gap around the edges. Grab small pieces of your remaining cookie dough, flatten them in your hand, and place them on top of the Nutella. Ensure all the cookie dough pieces join together and the layer of Nutella is completely covered. Place the skillet in the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let the cookie cool for a 10-15 minutes before diving in

Story Time Adventures with oliver by Charlotte It was a sunny day in the hamster cage. Like normal. I was on a robin's back. I tried talking to the robin he did not talk to me back. I think that was because he is a robin. Then he dropped me in my cage. Then i- what? Oh it was a dream. I wish it was not a dream. I sighed. I looked all around on this saturday morning. Then i looked at the clock. It was about 6:00. Time to go back to sleep i told myself. I closed my eyes. Then i opened them. I looked at the clock again. It was now 8:00. That had meant i slept. Them i heard someone speak. It was my owner. He was a boy. You want to give oliver away? The boy asked. Yes. his mom replied. But he is my pet mom the boy said to his mom. Yes i know. She said back to the boy. That is why i want to get a dog instead. I Almost exploded when i heard him say that. I only want to get a puppy if we are going to trade for oliver. Alright but it we need to go and look for a puppy. Said the mom I had to find out how to make sure he does not get a puppy. Maybe i will keep thinking. I few hours later i heard the mom say something. I found a puppy! She said. My friend is giving one away. And she wants a hamster in return. That is perfect. Then all of a sudden i had an idea. I knew that my plan might not work so i had to have a backup plan. I was not sure if i had one so i left that part for later. The puppy will come tomorrow so we should go and buy the puppy stuff. Ok lets go. I had to sneak out with them. But i had to find out how. Wait i know! I could unlock my cage door because it is super easy to. I unlocked my cage and followed them to there car. I sneaked in and i got to sit in the very back because they sat in the front. When they got there i had to quickly get out of there door because i could not open my door. When we got to the shop we got the stuff then we got back in the car. When we got back home i quickly made it back in my cage and pretended i was sleeping. The first thing my owner did was come and see me. I know you don't want me to give you away. So i will do something about it. Dont worry i will make sure you also stay. Well i still had my backup plan if he wanted to change his mind. I was so happy that i decided to go to sleep. Then i woke up to a surprise my owner had mentioned nothing about a dog and there were nothing there that was dog related.so it most of been a dream!! Yes! I squeaked i guess i won't be given away!

Tac Nayn’s Return by Olivia and Claire C. One sunny afternoon, Nyan was home alone. She went to fetch a backup poptart for her body when she saw a teeny tiny yellow sticky note on the fridge. Dear Nyan, It’s dangerous. Tac is acting up again. YOU GOTTA SAVE US!!! -GIZMO She padded along to the calendar. This happens everyday. It said: Go save the world. “Of course.” Nyan muttered. She chewed on her backup poptart and flew out of her house through the roof. Once her rainbow trail was securely behind her, she flew to the Big Mushrooms. She and her siblings, Gizmo, Tac, Crispy, and Taco always used to play there when they were young, and she noticed that Tac visited that place again when he was lonely. But not today. Far off ahead, Tac was creating thousands of mayhem, trouble, and natural disasters. Volcanoes erupted, sending people and food cats to places, tornadoes whirled around the forests, sucking up animals and woodcutters, and weird weather habits acted up like hailstorms matched with sunny weather. “I’m lucky I’m really linguistic.” Nyan said. She could talk to the weather kitties, who control the weather, and they only speak their native language, the ‘Weather Language’. Nyan ran to the nearest forest, seeking the Weather Kitties. She wondered when she will find them as they were just usually anywhere when she heard a loud booming noise. It could’ve been either the Weather Kitties messing up some weather controls- or just plain… people. Then, she saw that the Weather Kitties were acting odd. Their eyes were grey and white and it had a glazed look over it. They were causing fire and explosions. Then, a huge bomb landed right where Nyan stood; and Nyan was hurt, thrown up into the air, and landed with a big thud as she fell to the dirt floor where there once was grass. It seemed like Earth was beginning to die.

The World Above the Underworld By Olivia

There is a land above the Underworld, and it’s true. I’ve seen glimpses when Hades lets Persephone out of the Underworld: a crack opens in the ceiling and I see light. There are trees, grass, flowers, and the thing that Apollo’s the god of… oh yeah, the sun. I’ve always wanted to go up there, but Hades won’t let me. He’s the god of the Underworld, and he’s really mean. You follow his orders or you die. He has powers nobody has ever dreamed of- but I guess I’m the only one who says that, seeing that I’ve heard rumours that Zeus is the most powerful god on Mount Olympus. My name is Erothana, a fifteen-year-old goddess of love and death. I’ve been trapped in this Underworld place (it’s terrible, dark, and scary, boring, and misty.) since I was seven, and I couldn’t leave since. Luckily, I forced myself not to eat anything for the last eight years, and I’m really hungry. But anyways, I’m immortal since I’m a goddess so I’m fine. If you eat anything while you’re under there, you can’t get out. It’s a law. I’ve been begging for the last eight years to Hades, and once I’ve almost gotten cursed. So I gave up. Until one day, I begged another person- Persephone. Persephone is the complete opposite if Hades. She allows anything. “I want a chance to see the world up there.” I said, pointing to the ceiling of the Underworld, which right up there is the land full of happiness. “How exactly? Have you got a plan yet?” Persephone asked. “No.” I admitted. No plan is smart enough to outsmart Hades. Plus, his three-headed dog and the Undeads are always guarding this place and that. “Too bad… hey, how about one day, you come up to the surface with me?” Persephone asked. “I swear to River Styx if I miss it, I’ll die.” I smiled. It’s kinda serious to swear to River Styx, but if I miss it, that’s the end of me.

The World Above the Underworld (Cont.) Twelve days later, it was the arrival of Spring. I think. There are no seasons down here. Well, anyways, it SHOULD be the arrival of Spring, which means Hades needs to let Persephone out to create Spring. I hid for awhile and tiptoed onto the flying horse-carriage that Persephone uses to reach the other place. “Bye Persephone. Be back soon. I’ll have Erothana prepare a surprise when you get back.” Hades said. “Thank you, Hades.” Persephone replied.

Then that carriage flew to the top, the ceiling cracked, and I poked my head up a little bit. “Persephone…” I said. “Look, keep your head down. I’ll get this to fly slower, and you can maybe see the town… now!” Persephone said, as I got up. I sat on the purple couch and looked over the town. “Now I gotta make Spring. Could you go to Olympus and visit Zeus?” Persephone asked. “Z-Zeus?” I asked. “The god of the land and the sky? The most powerful god?! Sure.” I said. As I walked more and more towards the mountain reaching the sky, I saw a girl yelling. She had pink hair and purple wings and a giant spear. “What’s wrong?” I asked her. “I can’t work my rainbow!” She shouted in pain. “How come? Who are you, trying to make a rainbow?” I asked. “I’m Iris, goddess of the rainbows. Someone took my real rainbow spear and switched it with this stick.” Iris said. “You can come to Mount Olympus with me. Maybe Zeus can help you. Come on.” I said. “Thank you.” Iris calmed down. Three more miles and there I saw a girl with snake hair and long fangs. Iris was tapping her fake spear on her palm. The snake hair girl was shouting. “What’s happening?” I asked. “Ugh. I can’t turn people into stone. By any chance, are you a mortal?” She asked. “No. I’m a goddess of love and death. I’m Erothana. You must be Medusa.” I said. “Yeah. Any chance you can help me?” She asked. “No. I’m going to Mount Olympus. Iris needs her rainbow spear back, so I guess you should come with us too.” I said. “Alright,” Medusa shrugged. Thousands of miles, it seemed like, to reach the next goddess in pain. “Hello.” I said. “Oh thank goodness. Have you found my bow and arrows?” The goddess asked. Guessing she was Artemis, I shook my head. “No.” I admitted. “Aww.” She sighed. “Without it, and can’t hunt!” Artemis said angrily. “Come to Mount Olympus with us, maybe Zeus can help you. I’m running an errand from Persephone, and you can tag along.” I smiled. “Great. Thanks.” She said. Again, we continued on our way to Mount Olympus, and as we reached the big doors, and also as we walked straight into Zeus’ throne room, I was feeling excited more and more. “Here we go.” I whispered. “Zeus, god of the skies and the land, I am here to tell you the wounds of others.” I announced. Pretty good! “I have lost my rainbow spear and without it, I cannot create many different rainbows to make people happy.” Iris said to Zeus as he listened, carefully. “I have lost my powers to turn people into stone. With your help, I can turn my mortal enemies into stone again. It’s in my nature.” Medusa said next. “And I need my bow and arrows back- the silver tipped ones, more. Without it, I cannot teach mortals to hunt, and my hunting dogs will not get exercise, and I will not be able to hunt.” Artemis said next. Zeus rubbed his chin. “I will grant all of your wishes under one condition: Do not tell my wife Hera I am doing this… I’m supposed to be mending her chitons.” Zeus smiled. All at once, Iris’ spear came back with a light rainbow circling it, Medusa’s powers came back, as she stunned a mortal from down below, turning her into stone, and Artemis’ bow came back and her silver-tipped arrows as well. “And I would like freedom out of the Underworld.” I said thoughtfully. “Alright.” Zeus said, seemingly granting it. I returned to Persephone at a graveyard soon. “I wished for freedom out of the Underworld.” I said. “Awesome! That’s why I sent you to Zeus! All along, I was planning it: for you to wish to be out of the Underworld. Alright, I gotta get back, bye!” Persephone said, mounting her carriage. I waved. From the distance, I saw rainbow, a person screaming (probably got stunned by Medusa), and some hunting dogs howling. What a great day.

Lisa and the closet Anusha

Taco Thief Day by Jade and Aedan There was a space store.But not just any space store.It was a taco space store! The owner of this store was named Bernal. But one day he forgot to lock the door to his store which is called Vittos Space and Taco Store and something bad happened.When he opened the creaky door he found out that all his tacos and space limos were gone! He was shocked! He called the cops and found a note that said “EaT cHocOlate in Morning And suShi.’’When Bernal read the note he found the thief's name already. So he called the thief and asked if he had stolen stuff from his store. But, he said “No I did not steal it was my other friend he has a note in your desk while he stole your stuff.” Then he hung up……. So Bernal ran to his desk and found a note that said “ Jelly is Awesome Cuz Snake Only Nature uNite." Can you find both of the suspects names ? Then we put him in jail for good and for 50 years and we found out he likes mister snape and dumbledore then the taco mystery was closed for now.

It was spring break and lisa was really excited, until she heard that she was moving to a new house. For lisa this is upsetting because lisa lived in that house the day she was born and she had a lot of fun memories in that house. Lisa was also going to have to move schools because their new house is really far away from the school that lisa was recently going to. After 5 months, lisa’s family finally got settled in except for lisa herself. The house was really odd and it smelled like clothes you have not washed in 1 year. Lisa wanted to explore the house because all she really did when she was bored was read. So one day she chose to explore her old rusty house. She did not have enough time to do it in the daytime, so they only time she had was in the nighttime. The same day lisa started to explore the house. She had a notepad so she could write down weird and unusual things she found. About 2 hours later, lisa found something she had never seen before. It was a closet with chains locked and covered all around it. It was almost af if nobody could open it. At this point, lisa was very curious. She was asking her dad how to open chains but she never ever told anyone about the closet. The following day, lisa had written about the closet in her diary. The only person lisa trusted was her best friend alyssa. Alyssa was the only person that lisa trusted. After she told alyssa about the closet, it was heartbreaking for lisa to hear that alyssa did not believe her. Alyssa and lisa always trust and believe each other but this was the first time alyssa did

It was a normal day on ponrth. I was trotting along the hallway to my class,my first class was myths. We had projects in myths, mine was about Humans, that walk on two legs, they have 5 short and small hooves!!! I love them, but i don't believe in them! Such magical things! It's impossible for them to be real! After school i heard some pony yelling my name, “LIZZACORN” i turned my head to see my friend,Wiling. She goes to a private pegasis school. “Ready?” Wiling said as he flew down from the tree he was in. “as always!” I said. It was winter break! We wanted to explore the world! “Ill get my stuff” Wiling flew off to get her stuff. I felt a wonderful burning feeling in my fore head. Sparks flew out of her horn, and half of a magic wing pack appeared. (a pack that goes on pegisi that could fit about 2 square miles) she tried again, there was a whole wing pack!Wiling flew back glaring. “I was there and half of it disappeared then the other half did! Why did you do that?” He said hitting lizzacorn with her tail lightly. “I, thought it would be helpful!” I said back. “Ok, lets go!” I said as I gulped away. Wiling took of after me. “I didn't know a filli could run that fast!” Said an elderly unicorn. “It happens when your edited!” I yelled to her as I ran past. We galloped past a small and old inn. They had no idea where they were going! They would take turns leading. “We can stop here.” I sighed as I laid down. Weeks later, they came to an alleyway. A bright light came from the end. “Lets check it out.” Wiling flew ahead. They hid around a corner behind a tree. Amillion 50-100 year old pegasi and unicorns, sending all their magic into a circle. The circle was a mix of olive green, dirty red, and many more horrible colors. One old unicorn yelled, swishing his head as he stopped, “that is the best we can do today! It will close for the night! A wild look in his purple eyes danced around. He looked like someone who had not had a shower in a week, but he smelt like a waffle. “NOW YOU SEE MY POWER?” he bellowed as his chest heaved, “NOW YOU SEE?? WHAT YOU TURNED ME INTO?!” he swallowed as wail as he held back tears. “NOW NOW Now you see?” he turned back into a cat, “Yes. Yes I did.” Nyan cat said turning back into a cat, not a rainbow trail cat. “I did see, I did do it, I did say it, and I did make it, I did kill it, I did come here. I DID DO WHAT YOU FAILED TO DO!” She jumped up and imagined the house that Tac made, and that cursed him. It appeared, beautiful as it used to be. Tac Nayn turned into the small fluffy waffle cat with blue eyes “I will come with you, home.” he pounced out a door. She had done it.
