The “Enid Blyton” Series reviewed by Rachael One of my favourite books is the Enid Blyton series because it is all about mysteries and fantasy. You should try reading it! Whenever it is a mystery book, you WILL want to read more. In one of the stories, the kids find a secret passageway in their uncle's study room. And the passageway leads to the lighthouse and in the story, there is a robber who came into the kid’s house which became a MYSTERY.
“Hoot” by Carl Hiaasen Reviewed by Iris This book is about a boy called Roy and two other kids called Beatrice Leap and a boy with the nickname “Mullet Fingers.” Mullet Fingers got the name because he can catch mullet fish with his fingers. It is very good because they are trying to save owl and the owner of a pancake house is trying to bury the owls.
A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket Reviewed by Ethan A Series of Unfortunate Events is a 13 book series by Lemony Snicket. The first book is called The Bad Beginning. This is a book you shouldn't read if you don't like reading books about bad things that happen to perfectly nice people. This book is about three orphans. The oldest is Violet, the middle orphan is Klaus, and the youngest is Sunny. All three of them have incredible talents and they will use them against the bad guy. I don't want to give away too much detail, so read this book to find out the incredibly terrible things that happen to the three orphans. I rate this series 5 stars!

Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh Reviewed by Gabby Harriet the Spy is a book about a girl who dares to be different even if she got picked on by other students in the class. Once, when they were playing a game she dropped her notebook and her friends opened it and started readin… She wrote some of her spy observations she made when looking through other peoples’ windows and some nasty things about her friends… she looses her friends…. Check out the book to see if she can get them back! And what are some of the funny and weird things the people the people in her town are up to.
Movie: Nancy Drew and the Ghostwriter’s Cruise Reviewed by Michelle This is where Nancy,George and Mr Adams has to find out who is trying to kill Mr Adams. Nancy and Mr Adams found a recording tape of someone speaking. That tape recording is about the same thing that is written inside a scrapbook from someone who wants to kill Mr Adams. The book is called the ghostwriter`s cruise. Everything in the book will happen except the ending. The one who wants to kill Mr adams is his friends daughter. She wants to kill Mr Adams because She thinks Mr Adams killed her father so this will be a revenge. But Nancy and her friends was clever enough to solve the case for who did it so the police could capture the killer.

ARTICLES 5 Places To Go To In New Zealand By Vedanti Aukland: Skytower The skytower is an observation and telecommunication tower with beautiful views and you can bungee jump there and there are two restaurants on the TOP where you can see the sunset from.
Christchurch: Willowbank Wildlife Reserve The Willow Wildlife Reserve is a great place for feeding animals and going to exhibits and enclosures there are a lot of cool animals and sightings like tuatara,kiwi,brown teal,and duvaucel’s gecko and you can easily spend 2-3 hours. You can also spot marine animals. Theres a nice restaurant near by. Port Hills Port Hills is an amazing place by the mountains and this place is if you love walking and hiking you climb to the top and if you get tired on the top you can come back down with public transportation but you will need more than a hundred cameras that's how AMAZING IT IS.This place is by the volcano that erupted more than a million years ago.
Rotura: Tamaki Maori Village
The Tamale Maori village helps you learn a lot about Maori culture and there are daily performances there like Baka dance with large variety of food.really fun activities and lots of entertainment.
Wanaka: Mount Aspiring National Park The park is great early in the morning for hiking and doing activities but later on in the day you can do jet boating and funyaks which is extremely fun especially because the word has it.this place has bridges birds and a lot more.
Government Gardens The government gardens is a public park,near the lake great for picnics there are also sport facilities and spa’s and great music playing.and even has a Swimming pool. Queenstown: Lake Wanaka At Lake Wanaka there are a lot of activities to do like parachuting, skiing, cycling and many more and you can just walk around the lake and take pictures.

Kidzania Extravaganza by Kai Go to KIDZANIA it is the best place ever. First, get a watch a maybank credit card and 20 kidzos (kidzos are kidzania money.) Then, if you want you can go to the bank and put the kidzos on your card. After that you can spend some money on activities. My favorite was the discovery film studio because you can make a video about saving endangered animals. They give you a film code to watch it online. When you are running low on kidzos, you can get a job and earn more. Search up kidzania and find a video for more info!!! 5 Fun Facts On Horses by Anaaya 1. They love hay and grass 2. They are fluffy and soft. 3. They do not like flies 4. Their noses or the black part is really soft 5. They are lovable animals! Fun Facts About Hamsters! By Chloe 1. HAMSTERS are crepuscular (active in the twilight hours) 2. The smallest HAMSTER in the world is 2 to 4 inches. 3. A European HAMSTER can grow 13 inches long so the European HAMSTER is the largest HAMSTER in the world 4. HAMSTERS are omnivores! 5. HAMSTERS can live up to 4 years but HAMSTERS living up to 4 years is RARE! Dolphins! By Billy You see a blurry flash of blue in the ocean. What is it? It is a common bottlenose dolphin! Dolphins are very playful mammals. There more than 50 species of dolphins in the world! The most common dolphin is the bottlenose dolphin. You can usually see dolphins all over the world but their favourite places are cold places like Antartica. They always look like smiling. Plus, they eat about 2,000 fish every day! STORIES Clefent’s First Step by Aedan
“Clefent, it is your first day at Megseferent School,’’ his mom said. I just want to bang my head on this door, Clefent thought. it’s been six months since I’ve gone to school because of moving from New Guinea to Portland. Since we’ve moved, I’ve lost all of my friends. Clefent yawned while rolling out of bed. He dragged his clothes into the bathroom, took a soap bar and went into the shower. After showering, he hungrily walked down the stairs to the kitchen. He saw his family. His mom grabbed his Darth Vader lunch box and his father tossed him his backpack. Clefent’s bus number was 872. He goes to school and he fearfully walked in the class. Miss Lucie Lunder Lucet of Lilliput says, “Class say hello to Clefent.’’ The class says,” Hello Clefent!!!!!” Clefent slowly waved his hand and fearfully said, ‘’H...H…H...Hi.’’ Three hours later…. ‘’Lunch recess everybody!!!,’’ Miss Lucie hollered thru the class, Clefent stayed in class. Miss Lucie came over to him and said, ‘’Try to make new friends.’’ Clefent said,’’No! I want to be with my old friends!’’ That night…...‘’Mom,can you make a play date with my old friends please,’’ Clefent said. ’’Sure, Wednesday?’’ Clefent’s Mom said. Clefent thought, yes yes yes!

The next day ‘’Class, you have school tomorrow,’’ Miss Lucie announced. Clefent thought, ‘’DANG!! tomorrow is my play date, on Wednesday.’’ That Night ‘’Mom,I have school tomorrow,’’ Clefent said sobbing with tears. ‘’Sorry honey, I can't do anything about it, I only can cancel it,’’ his mom said,as she pat Clefent’s back softly and slowly. ‘’O...O...O...Okay.’’Clefent sobbing in her lap. 24 hours past ‘’Clefent!,GO TO THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE NOW,‘’ Miss Lucie said indignantly. ”FINE,’’ said Clefent as he ragingly stomped out of the class and in the principal's office he went. ‘’Clefent, you need to make new friends,’’ Mr. Alex, the principal, said. ‘’Is there a soccer field here?’’ Clefent said,as he wiped his hands on his face to cleared his tears. ‘’You're just in luck, there is one right around the corner.’’ Mr.Alex said. ‘’I guess I’ll try.’’Clefent said as he shrugged his shoulders. 5 minutes later ‘’ Hey, would you like to play with me?’’ Clefent said to another boy ‘’Sure, let’s play and what is your name?’’ the boy said. ‘’ My name is Clefent, what’s yours?’’ Clefent said. ‘’Bob,” Bob said. ‘’Nice to meet you Bob.’’ Clefent said. ‘’Nice to meet you too Clefent.’’ said Bob. “Let’s play soccer, do you have a soccer ball?’’ Clefent said. ’’Ya, I do.’’ Bob said as he showed his ball. ‘’ Nice……” Clefent said as he nodded his head slowly. “By the way - Let’s play.’’ Clefent said as they skipped springly away.

My Fall Break By Michelle Sleepover with Amelie This was on a Sunday,the 9th of October. I was waking up to go to my art lesson at Burlington square,at a teacher’s house. My mom sighed as she said’’ There will be someone coming to our house today.’’ Amali?Rachel?Apple?Amanda’s mom?I guessed as my mom was shaking her head slowly at every one of my guesses. Who? I was about to find out who it was coming to our house and what event was about to happen. Oh, Amelie is coming to our house today. Oh,ok,I said with absolutely no expression,but on the inside I was so happy that I wanted to scream yay! We were coming back from the art class I was taking that morning. We were supposed to go to the Arch Fest before she comes which is 4:30,but I said I didn’t want to go. So in the afternoon I did some homework and read my book: The garbage king for about 20 minutes,it is an incredible book to me.The doorbell rang as I got dressed,if you didn’t know,I am such a last minute person. We greeted her as I lead her into my room and played truth or dare for 15 minutes to 20 minutes.Then I just showed her around and watched Liv and Maddie until dinner time.We played ball for like 1 hour while singing the PPAP song and sweating all over.We then played with clay and made beautiful boxes with them,we added glitter glue,and glow in the dark clay.They both look amazing. It was almost time to sleep,we tried to make a fort. I thought it won’t be made into a fort but it actually worked out pretty well. Now that it was time to sleep,we got into bed and started sleeping. NOT! We stayed up until 12:13 and we decided to sleep for 5 minutes and wake up,not that we want to.But 5 minutes turned into more like 6 to 7 hours. We woke up at exactly 8:05. We played uno,ball,watched movies and eat lunch. Lastly we played hide and seek. Sadly, it was time for her to go back home. We said bye to each other reluctantly. Well,at least we did have a good time together and we wished that we would have another sleepover soon.

My Play Date with Rachel Now this event happened on a friday, 14th of october 2016. Now Rachel is Arteastiq in Plaza Singapura. Arteastiq is a place where it is a cafe or restaurant full of delicious foods,especially desserts. Anyway, next to that there is a small place full of paints,brushes.canvases,paper,and art smocks for painting. They are all 50 by 50 centimetres canvases. We ate at the cafe first since our session hasn’t started yet. We picked the spot with two sofas and a table by the windows as we ordered. We ordered quesadillas, and matcha cheesecakes. After our quesadillas,we went to paint. We picked the spot near the humongous glass windows. We wore on our art smocks and started to think about what we were going to paint. She told me that she will be painting a tree so i said i will paint a flower first. So we did.My flower turned out to be horrible so I painted it into an huge umbrella shade. Then I painted a tiny tree under it. I covered the top part of the canvas with white,middle with pink and bottom with red.Then I splatter painted it with blue and white. Lastly, painted my hand with paint and printed it on the right corner of the canvas,I called mine Art paradise. Once we finished painting, we went to eat the little matcha cakes, they were so amazing.Last, we decided to call it a day and go back home. It was a very good experience for me that day to be with my new friend.

EATS & TREATS Top Five Restaurants In Singapore By Manika 4. Hana Hana has delightful kid’s bento boxes and delicious miso soup. It’s located in the Forum mall and there are very interesting decorations. They make japanese food, such as maki and teriyaki.
1. Din Tai Fung Din Tai Fung is one of the most popular restaurants in Singapore. It’s famous for its xiao long bao (dumplings with soup/broth with pork or chicken). They have opened many Din Tai Fungs and the one you are sure to get a seat at is either the Weelock Place or Wisma Atria.
5.California Pizza Kitchen Who doesn’t like pizza?! California Pizza Kitchen has yummy pizza and salads. It’s in the Forum mall (like a lot of restaurants). It has comfy seating and sturdy tables. If you like pizza while someone with you likes salads, this is the restaurant for you!
2.KFC The KFC is a very popular restaurant. It has lots of delicious meals such as chicken wings, hamburgers and rice buckets. One KFC is open in Woodlands. 3. McDonalds McDonalds is also an American favorite as well as one Singaporean favorite. It is in many different parks including the East Coast park. It is also opened in the Forum mall.

How to Make a Smoothie by Gabby You need: two bananas, one fruit juice, applesauce and yogurt! Method: First you get a bowl and put the two bananas inside. Then mash up the bananas and after that you add the fruit juice! When done with that then you mix all of them up, add applesauce and yogurt then mix them all up again and you’re done!

(via http://kirbiecravings.com/2013/02/easiest-3-ingredient-nutella-brownies.html) Ingredients: ¼ cup Nutella 2 eggs ½ cup all purpose flour Directions 1. Grease a 9 x9 baking pan and preheat oven to 350F. Mix all ingredients into a large bowl with a large wooden spoon until batter is smooth. Pour into baking pan and smooth top with spatula. 2. Bake for about 15 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Careful not to bake too long otherwise brownies will dry out. Let brownies cool and set before cutting and serving.

Recipe for Banana Cookies by Kai Ingredients: 2 Ÿ cups all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking soda 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 cup packed light-brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 2 large eggs 1 banana 2 cups (about 12 ounces) semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the butter with both sugars; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; add the salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well mixed, about 1 minute. Add flour mixture; mix until just combined. Add the chocolate chips peel and mash up the banana and add then mix 2. Drop heaping tablespoon-size balls of dough about 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. 3. Bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven, and let cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
