Cheap road bikes often range in around $ 150 and up depending on the brand name regardless of whether it is brand new or second hand road bikes. I recommend if you have a few extra bucks going for a new bike. Find a store you can trust and will listen to your desires and you are well on your way to finding the right bike for you. They may try to steer you towards a more expensive bike at first but if they are listening to you they will have no problem finding one in your price range.
