Cruise bikes come with a large number of uses, and makes for great regular fitness item. Using a cruise bike to work has been many a professional’s choice of keeping fit. Cruiser bikes are typically popular with sportsmen, who love to use it for miles during summers and the drier parts of a year. Cruiser bikes come in various styles, as Japanese manufacturers begin rolling out their hybrid models in 2011. Both men and women in the United States consider cruise biking a great attitude statement as well, especially after a recent James Bond flick. Structural differences amongst cruise bikes are an important differentiating factor, while most of them must have balloon tires, and use a longer body or framework, allowing relaxed pedaling. Such cruise bikes have also been famous as they are favorites of many celebrity cyclists and experts. The mountain bike trend of the late 70s and 80s left a certain indelible change in the style of cruise bikes. Although they would not have much in common with mountain bikes, they started turning out with the typical design that would keep dexterity as its main feature. Most bicycles in the market today follow from the inspiration set by Schwinn and other companies in its league. Choosing the style of cruise bikes depends on factors besides aerodynamic optimization. Comfort of a cruise bike user is one of the most important factors. Since long rides are common, seats are slightly wider than bike types such as mountain bikes and other styles. Cruise bikes are available for kids, teens, adults as well as marathon riders. Although cruiser bikes had evolved into powerful single-power transmission racing bikes for some teenagers in the US, it continues its elegant trail of popularity amongst the widest of populations around the world.
