FMP “Pattern of Light”

My Final Major Project was self motivated. I was inspired by Japanese Modernism author J. Tanizaki quote “Find beauty not only in the thing itself, but in the pattern of the shadows, the light and dark which that thing provides.” The main aim was to experiment with letters throughout surface and light manipulation.

7.

“Water is Life Competition

Expressive typography is one of my weakness. I could spend hours just experimenting and trying to get specific effects. In this case, water and syringe were my main tools to create these posters.

8.

“Water is Life” Competition

“Water is Life” engaged me in finding new ways to modify water drops. I was injecting bright watercolour or soil bits as well as changing paper background to leaves.

9.

Self Promotion

I designed a brochure which included information about six paper art techniques: quilling, origami, kirigami, popups, weaving, cutting.

10.

Self Promotion

Inside of brochure I made a pop- up which connects each paper art technic name with explanation and picture.

Penguin Design Awards 2010

I started my concept from surrealistic illustrations, that led me up to an idea to add funny absurdly drawn details on real pictures of characters such as rabbit, Cheshire cat and so on.
