SOCIAL SCREENING FOR HIFF

New audiences engaged and HIFF brand coverage widened. online.hiff.fi was open for 10 nights in September 2013 . The social screenings for short films were scheduled twice per day. Offschedule the page screened Helsinki International Film Festival material & advertisement. Altogether 30 short films were screened and the page had a free entry. HIFF selected all the films. Participation to chat discussions was available for registered users (registration by Facebook or e-mail). Directors, producers and actors were visiting in theater and participated in discussions. The short films are shown only in scheduled times in social screening and not freely available. A social screening event provides additional visibility for a film festival as well as a new surface for advertisement sales. The event was marketed in HIFF’s website and in printed material.
