The picturesque resort of Exmouth lies on the south-east coast of Devon, where the River Exe meets the sea. One of the oldest seaside towns in Devon, Exmouth offers a lovely small harbour and two miles of sandy beach, perfect for a stroll along the shoreline, and is the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast with its dramatic cliffs and stunning views. This vibrant and bustling town is also home to many tempting bars, restaurants and cafés as well as an indoor market and a range of shops, perfect for a browse.

For art, history and culture, visit the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery, or learn more about Dorset’s history by visiting the many churches, chapels and castles in the area. As well as boasting a spectacular coastline, Dorset is famous for its charming county town of Dorchester. Idyllically located on the banks of the River Frome and framed against the glorious backdrop of the South Downs, this vibrant market town is steeped in history. You can discover relics of Dorchester’s Roman past in the County Museum and Roman Town House, or head to the award-winning Dinosaur Museum to find out more about the history of the area.

Fans of Thomas Hardy can explore Max Gate, the atmospheric Victorian home of the famous author and poet for 40 years until his death in 1928. Wander through the sophisticated rooms where Hardy wrote some of his most renowned work, including Tess of the d’Urbervilles, and walk in his footsteps in the peaceful garden.

The town also offers some lovely riverside walks as well as a host of quirky shops, tempting restaurants and cosy pubs to enjoy. If you’re lucky enough to visit Dorchester on a Sunday then be sure to grab a few bargains at the historic market, with indoor and outdoor stalls offering everything from local produce to clothes and plants!

Please note: on some National Holidays short breaks, Sports tours, Events and Showtime tours, an increased deposit amount or full payment may be required at the time of booking. In these circumstances cancellation by you 8 weeks or more before departure would incur loss of all monies paid.

If you cannot make a payment by card at the time of booking, please speak to one of our Reservations Assistants to discuss other options. You can make payments against your balance anytime between making the booking and the balance due date. If the balance is not paid on time we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you and apply cancellation charges. For bookings made after the balance due date the full amount is due at the time of booking.

We regret we cannot accept any liability if we are not notified of any inaccuracy in any document within 14 days of our sending it out. This contract and all matters arising out of it will be governed by English law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION BY YOU:

If you want to cancel your booking after we have confirmed it with you either verbally, over the telephone or online, you can do so by letter or email. If you cancel your booking, we will not refund any insurance premium or administration fees you may have paid and cancellation charges are based on the following scale to compensate us for not re-selling the holiday. If the holiday is re-sold a refund will be made:

National Holidays UK mainland, Special Events, Showtime, Family Fun & Sports holidays

More than 8 weeks prior to departure: We refund the cost of your holiday less your deposit and any administration fees.

8 weeks or less prior to departure: You lose 100% of your holiday cost.

National Holidays Europe, Ireland & Channel Islands holidays

More than 10 weeks prior to departure: We refund the cost of your holiday less your deposit and any administration fees.

10 weeks or less prior to departure: You lose 100% of your holiday cost.

Upon cancellation you must return to us any tickets or vouchers you have received.

We recommend that all customers hold some form of travel insurance when purchasing one of our tours, whether from ourselves or another insurance provider. It is important to ensure Covid-19 cover is included in the policy to cover you for cancellation or curtailment in the event you become Covid-19 positive.

Please note if you test positive for Covid-19 you cannot travel, we will give you the option to either postpone your trip to a later date or cancel and make a claim from your travel insurer. We will have no liability for any refunds, compensation, costs or any other expenses should you or anyone in your booking party test positive for Covid-19 before or during the tour.
