Join us for a relaxing break to Spain’s beautiful Costa Brava! Thanks to its sun-drenched climate, beautiful sandy beaches and thriving resorts, the Costa Brava has remained popular amongst holidaymakers for decades, and it’s easy to see why. Enjoy excursions to some of the charming resorts along this lovely rugged coast, mixed with plenty of free time to kick back and relax, stroll along the beach and take advantage of a great free bar offer at our hotel.
ITINERARY
Day 1
Ferry to Calais and overnight stay in France on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2
Continue our journey south to the Costa Brava and check in to our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 3 Day at leisure in our resort Day 4 Tossa de Mar
We take a morning trip to Tossa de Mar, once a medieval town and now a popular seaside resort that has managed to retain all of its original charm and character. Away from the beach, discover the walled old town with its tangle of cobbled streets and enchanting castle.
Day 5 Optional excursion to Barcelona with guided city tour (£22pp)
Today is a chance to join our optional excursion to Barcelona. We see all the highlights of this vibrant, beachside city with our guided city tour, including the bustling streets known as the Ramblas, Gaudi’s incredible cathedral, the Sagrada Familia, and the area built for the 1992 Olympics.
Day 6 Day at leisure in our resort Day 7 Optional excursion to Besalú and Figueres (£14pp)
Our second optional excursion takes us on a scenic drive along the coast. We stop first in Besalú, a beautifully preserved medieval town with a 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the River Fluvià, narrow arcaded streets and small squares. We then head to the charming town of Figueres, birthplace of the eccentric artist Salvador Dalí and a lovely spot for some souvenir shopping.

Day 8 Playa d’Aro
We spend half a day soaking up the relaxed ambience of Playa d’Aro, a resort rightly renowned for its gorgeous, sandy beaches, stylish shops and vibrant bars. Originally a small fishing village, it is one of the most picturepostcard seaside towns on the Costa Brava.
Day 9
We leave the Costa Brava and travel to our overnight hotel in France, with a light evening meal included. YOUR BREAK INCLUDES
