Holidays has over 450 coach pickup locations across the country, offering a wide range of destinations departing near you. A FREE EXCURSION PROGRAMME is offered on the vast majority of our breaks, giving you the opportunity to explore the area you are visiting and making the most of your time away. This gives you the opportunity to choose whether you want to discover more places of interest or spend free time at leisure. These are just some of the ingredients that help create a great holiday experience.

hotel ratings

There are a confusing variety of organisations who grade hotels in the UK under a set of quality standards. These include UK tourist authorities, the AA and Visit Britain as well as hotels applying their own self-assessment rating. Unfortunately, many hotels do not join the rating schemes, making it difficult to judge what the standard of the hotel may be. At Just Go! we are all about transparency and honesty in what we offer on our holidays. We therefore grade the hotels featured in our brochures based on our own experience, knowledge of the hotel and, more importantly, feedback from Just Go! customers. Please see page 49 for a guide of our hotel ratings system, giving you an idea of what to expect at each hotel. The relevant rating is shown next to each hotel’s description in the brochure. Please note: These ratings only apply to our UK holidays. In Ireland and the Channel Islands, we quote the hotel star rating based on the area’s rating system.

When booking your trip you can take out travel insurance with us. Please speak to our friendly reservations team about adding it to your holiday.

From the Liver Building to the renovated Albert Dock we’ll discover some of the city’s impressive landmarks. We’ll also explore some of the locations frequented by the Beatles such as the Cavern Club. Cilla Black also performed here while she was a cloakroom attendant and in 2017, a bronze statue of the late singer was unveiled outside the club in her honour.

Next, we board the ferry ‘cross the Mersey, a 60-minute round trip which gives us the chance to take in the sights and panoramas along the River Mersey, from Liverpool’s skyline to the beautiful shorelines of the Wirral on the opposite bank. Southport (half day) We spend half a day in the traditional Victorian seaside town of Southport. Known as England’s Classic Resort, it is home to the country’s second longest and oldest pier, and has miles of golden sand and beautiful parks and gardens perfect for a relaxing stroll.

£349

INCLUDED EXCURSIONS Bakewell & Chatsworth House (full day) We head first to the beautiful market town of Bakewell, set on the banks of the River Wye in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Probably best known for its Bakewell Pudding, the town boasts an ancient five arched bridge, riverside walks, independent shops and cafés. From here we travel to Chatsworth House. Still home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, this magnificent pile boasts grandiose interiors, a wonderful art collection and 100 acres of garden which include the famous 300-year-old Cascade and enormous Emperor Fountain.

22

Matlock Bath & Crich Tramway Village (full day) We take a scenic drive through the Peak District National Park on our way to the picturesque spa town of Matlock Bath, set in the beautiful gorge of the River Derwent with wooded hillsides and rocky limestone crags. Afterwards we step back in time at the Crich Tramway Village, home of The National Tramway Museum. Ride the world renowned vintage trams through the period street and out into the open countryside for spectacular views, explore fascinating exhibitions and watch as trams are restored from the Workshop Viewing Gallery. Stretch your legs on the Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail or take a trip to the unique Red Lion Pub, tearooms and shops.

Palace Hotel, Buxton JG 3 We’ll stay at the Palace Hotel situated in the heart of the spa town of Buxton. Set in over five acres of landscaped gardens, the hotel offers two bars and a restaurant. The health and leisure club features an indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam rooms (small charge applies). Single supplement £50

OPTIONAL EXCURSION Eyam & the High Peaks – £8pp (half day) Join our optional excursion to enjoy more of the stunning scenery of the Peak District National Park. Our first stop is Eyam, known as the ‘Plague Village’ due to the events of 1665-66 when the plague was brought from London to this tiny community. The village has craft workshops, a gift shop and tea rooms to enjoy. We continue on to Castleton, one of the most beautifully-situated villages in the White Peak. The village boasts the atmospheric Norman ruins of Peveril Castle, underground show caves and is the only place in the world where the semi-precious stone Blue John can be found. We return to the hotel via the village of Sparrowpit in the High Peak area.

The name ‘Chatsworth’ is a corruption of Chetel’s-worth, meaning ‘the Court of Chetel’.

Hebridean Adventure 8 Days from

£1,084

The wildly beautiful coast of Scotland is scattered with hundreds of islands and inlets shaped by the ever-pounding sea and everchanging weather. Sublimely secluded and totally unique, our tour to the untouched Outer Hebrides is a never to be forgotten experience, as we take in some of the most spectacular and unspoilt scenery Scotland has to offer.

ITINERARY Day 1 – Flight to Glasgow We fly to Glasgow airport and transfer to our overnight hotel in the Glasgow area where we stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Day 2 – Isle of Skye & Isle of Benbecula Leaving the hotel, we travel north to the pretty port of Mallaig and get a first glimpse of what Skye has to offer as we board a ferry for the short trip across to Armadale on the Sleat Peninsula. We make our way across the Isle of Skye, enjoying the stunning scenery and rugged landscapes to Uig where we catch the ferry to Lochmaddy enjoying a two-course meal on board. We continue on to our hotel on the Isle of Benbecula, our base for the next two nights. Day 3 – Island hopping Today’s island hopping begins by taking the causeway across to South Uist, where the west coast

36

Single supplement £87.50

is a continuous sandy beach in contrast to the east which is dominated by mountainous peaks. We then continue on to Eriskay, famous for the Eriskay Ponies and also for being the real ‘Whisky Galore’ island. It was just off Eriskay, between Great Todday and Little Todday that the SS Politician ran aground in 1941 with 50,000 cases of whisky aboard. The locals managed to save several hundred cases before the ship sank, providing them with a good supply of their ‘Water of Life’. From here, enjoy the short ferry crossing to the Isle of Barra which is considered by many to be the most beautiful little island in Britain. Its tranquil beaches, distinctive culture, where Gaelic is widely spoken, and an ancient history make any visit to Barra a memorable one. If time allows we will also venture across the causeway to stunning Vatersay, the most southerly inhabited island in the Outer Hebrides. Day 4 – Stornoway After a leisurely morning in Benbecula we collect a packed lunch and continue onward to North Uist, via the Benbecula causeway. North Uist is a relatively flat island covered with peat bogs, low hills and lochans. More than half the land is covered by water, making North Uist a birdwatchers’ paradise. We board the afternoon ferry for the one-hour crossing to Harris before travelling up the west coast past numerous unspoilt, white sandy beaches and some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenery in the Western Isles.

The final leg of today’s journey is to Lewis and the hotel in Stornoway. Day 5 – Isle of Lewis The Isle of Lewis is the most northerly island in the Hebrides with a history that goes back thousands of years and where ancient standing stones can be found everywhere. We make the short journey over to the west coast and visit Callanish, where stands an awesome collection of stone circles known as the Hebrides Stonehenge. Other sights on today’s excursion include the moorland interior where peat is still cut for fuel, traditional croft dwellings and Dun Carloway Broch, one of Scotland’s best preserved defensive structures dating back over 2,000 years. Day 6 – Stornoway to Ullapool Enjoy some time at leisure in Stornoway this morning, perhaps picking up some souvenirs, before we catch the ferry to Ullapool on the mainland and head to our overnight hotel in the Highlands. Day 7 – Return to Glasgow area We continue our journey, travelling via Stirling, arriving at our hotel in the Glasgow area where we stay overnight on a bed and breakfast basis. Day 8 – Journey home After checking out of the hotel, we transfer to Glasgow airport for our return flights home.

The Isle of Skye is a favoured destination for film makers due to its incredible beauty and diverse features.

On this relaxing break, we spend three nights in Guernsey before sailing across to neighbouring Jersey for another three nights. We also take a step back in time as we venture across to the tiny island of Sark, the crown jewel of the Channel Islands, nestled between Guernsey and Jersey.

We visit the restored rooms of the beautiful Gothic Abbey, home to a monastic community of nuns, and explore the six acre Victorian Walled Garden where only flower and vegetable varieties from that era are grown.

Checking out of our hotel, we travel to Dublin where we spend an afternoon at leisure. There are plenty of historic sites and monuments to see from the oldest, Dublin Castle, to one of the newest, the Spire of Dublin. We also have the option to join a locally guided tour of the city (£12pp) before spending the night in our hotel in the Dublin area. Day 6 We check out of our hotel very early to catch the ferry back to Holyhead; therefore a voucher will be provided to enjoy breakfast on board. On arrival in Holyhead, we continue our journey home. YOUR HOTELS +

Fishguard Bay Hotel, Fishguard JG 2 In Wales, we stay at the Fishguard Bay Hotel in Fishguard, an attractive Victorian house extended and refurbished in 1898 by the Great Western Railway. Set in peaceful gardens originally laid out during GWR’s ownership, guests will find comfortable en-suite rooms and a host of original period features inside.

ITINERARY Day 1 We join the coach and travel to our hotel in Fishguard, our base for the next three nights. Day 2 – Cardigan & Carmarthen

Treacy’s Hotel, Waterford  JG 3 In Ireland, we stay at the family-run Treacy’s Hotel, situated on the quayside in the heart of Waterford. The well-appointed rooms are all en-suite and the hotel’s spa offers an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. A restaurant and traditional bar completes the facilities.

We travel north this morning, spending some time in the estuary town of Cardigan, lying next to the River Teifi. The narrow streets, traditional shops and cafés, many with their original Georgian and Victorian fronts, help to give the town a unique visitor experience. We continue to Carmarthen, on the banks of the River Towy, which claims to be the oldest town in Wales and the birthplace of the wizard Merlin. We take in the rich history here as we stroll along the medieval lanes and alleys of the walled Old Town. Day 3 – Tenby We visit Tenby, a picturesque seaside town on the south coast of Wales that was once a popular health resort with Victorians. There’s plenty to see and do here, including a good selection of shops, a clean sandy beach and distinctive town walls, built in the late 13th century by the first Earl of Pembroke. Day 4 – St Davids & Ferry to Ireland Checking out of our hotel, we travel to St Davids, an attractive village within the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, granted city status due to the presence of its 12th-century cathedral. From here we travel to Pembroke where we board a ferry to Rosslare and continue to our hotel in Waterford, where we stay for three nights.

Cobh

Day 5 – Cork & the Titanic Experience, Cobh We start the day in Cork, Ireland’s second largest city, distinctive for its bridges spanning the River Lee which rushes through its centre. We then travel the short distance to the harbour side town of Cobh where we visit the Titanic Experience. Located in the original White Star Line Ticket Office at what was the departure point for the final 123 passengers who boarded the Titanic, we retrace the steps of these passengers with an audio visual tour and interactive exhibits. Day 6 – Day at leisure in Waterford Day 7 After an early breakfast, we catch the morning ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke and continue our journey home. Please call or visit our website for the air itinerary details.

Cardigan

Cork city was once fully walled, and the remnants of the old medieval town centre can be found around South and North Main streets.

hotel ratings There are a confusing variety of organisations who grade hotels in the UK under a set of quality standards. We therefore grade the hotels featured in our brochures based on our own experience, knowledge of the hotel and, more importantly, feedback from Just Go! customers. Below is a brief overview of the Just Go! hotel ratings system, giving you an idea of what to expect at each hotel. The relevant rating is shown next to each hotel’s description in the brochure.

Holidays terms and conditions which are based on and financially protected by the Bonded Coach Holiday Group (BCHG) Trading Charter. Please visit our website for more details. Frequently Asked Questions Why do I have to pay a single supplement?

What do I do if I have special dietary needs?

It is standard practice in the hotel trade to charge for single occupancy of a room as the cost of providing heating, lighting and cleaning etc, is the same regardless of the number of people occupying it.

Passengers are requested to inform us of any food allergies/requests at the time of booking and we will attempt to accommodate them, however special arrangements cannot be guaranteed. Passengers who are coeliac or follow a gluten-free diet are advised to contact the hotel before arrival to check if the diet is catered for. Some customers take their own bread for breakfasts.

Will my pickup point change? All available pickup points are shown for each tour. Please note however, that pickup points are dependent on Just Go! Holidays receiving minimum bookings from those locations. On occasions it may be necessary to move your requested pickup point after booking to ensure that your holiday can still operate. You will be notified of any change to your pickup with your final confirmation.

Customers with severe food allergies or dietary requirements are advised to make appropriate arrangements with the hotel prior to commencing their tour and speak to the hotel staff on arrival.

Why do I need insurance?

How many travellers will be in our group?

It is a condition of booking a holiday with us that you take out a travel insurance policy that includes sufficient medical cover for your needs as well as personal injury and repatriation cover to get you home should you not be fit to return as scheduled on our itinerary. Unfortunately, we cannot be liable for your repatriation costs in these circumstances. Should you decide not to purchase travel insurance that we offer, we will ask you to sign an indemnity document to confirm.

The maximum capacity we operate on any one coach is 53.

What time will my pickup be? We will inform you of the exact pickup time from your town approximately two weeks before departure. As a general rule on UK holidays we depart early morning and arrive home late afternoon/early evening although some exceptions may apply.

When do I need to pay the balance of my holiday?

Can I take my car? Yes, on certain UK mainland tours. We will give you a discount of £25 per person and a seat will still be reserved for you on the coach for the excursions.

Who is responsible for my luggage during my journey? As with all personal items, it is your responsibility to ensure your suitcase is on board the coach. Please make sure you see the driver place your luggage into the coach and on the way home carefully check you collect the correct luggage from the driver at your drop off point. We cannot accept responsibility for misplaced or damaged luggage and, whilst we will assist you with the recovery of any lost suitcase, this will be upon receipt of the courier costs.

How much luggage can I take with me? For holidays by coach, your luggage must be restricted to one medium-sized suitcase weighing no more than 18 kilograms (40 pounds); we cannot carry any additional luggage items. Also, we cannot accept responsibility at any time for your own personal hand luggage. For any holidays by air, the luggage allowance will vary between airlines and will be advised at the time of booking.

I have mobility issues – can I bring a walking aid? You must advise us if anyone in your party has mobility issues – the minimum requirements are that you are able to climb the steps onto a coach unaided. Due to space limitations we can only accommodate a maximum of two walking aids on to each coach, either wheelchairs or walking frames so long as they are collapsible, therefore you must pre-book a space when you book your holiday and confirmation of this will be on our correspondence to you. Unfortunately we have to reserve the right not to carry any walking aids that are not pre-booked. We regret we cannot accept mobility scooters or motorised wheelchairs.

The balance due dates (the period before the departure date on which your full balance normally becomes due) are: 6 weeks before departure for all UK mainland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and Europe holidays by coach (excludes Winter Sun in Benidorm by coach which is due 8 weeks before departure). For UK and European holidays by air, the balance is due with us no later than 8 weeks prior to travel. For bookings made after the balance due date; full payment is due at the time of booking. You can also make interim payments anytime between paying the deposit and the balance due date.

Railway excursions Please note that journeys on certain railways may not always be steam hauled, even when pictured in this brochure as being so. Diesel locomotive trains are sometimes in use on certain journeys over which, regrettably, we have no control.

What do I do if I have a special request? If you have any special requests, we will do our best to help but we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled, they are just a request. If your request is imperative to the enjoyment of your holiday, please inform one of the members of our reservations staff at the time of booking however, we cannot accept a booking on the basis of a request being guaranteed. General confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to our supplier is not confirmation that your request will be met. All special requests are subject to availability unless and until they are specifically confirmed by us in writing.

Will it always be the tour coach that collects me from my chosen pickup point? Not always, sometimes we utilise smaller transfer vehicles to operate some pickups; these vehicles will transfer you to join the main tour coach. We do this in order to offer a wide range of pickup points and to keep overall journey times for the tour coach to a minimum. Please note: If you have booked front seats, these only apply once you join the main tour coach.

Are the excursions guaranteed to run on the day specified in this brochure? Our brochures and itineraries are put together sometimes over a year in advance therefore, unfortunately, things may change before the tour takes place and some excursions may be swapped from one day to another.

What do I do if I’m not completely happy? It is imperative that if you are unhappy about any aspect of your holiday, you raise the matter IMMEDIATELY with the coach driver, tour manager or accommodation provider. If you fail to do this and deny us the opportunity to rectify the matter at the time, we shall not accept any responsibility retrospectively. If the matter cannot be resolved immediately, it is a condition that you write to us, quoting your booking reference, with the details of your complaint so that we may commence an investigation.

Important Notice All prices are correct at the time of this brochure going to print (December 2018). We reserve the right to change our prices from time to time. This could mean that when you book your chosen holiday, the actual price quoted in the brochure may have gone up or down. The correct price will always be confirmed to you at the time of booking. Some of the details within this brochure may have changed since going to print. When you book your holiday we will inform you of any change to any of the relevant details which have occurred prior to you making your booking. All coach package holidays advertised in this brochure are subject to our terms and conditions which are based on the Bonded Coach Holiday Group Trading Charter, a copy of these terms and conditions will be sent with your booking confirmation. All holidays by air advertised in this brochure are operated by Just Go! Holidays under ATOL No.10889 and are subject to our terms and conditions, a copy of which will be sent with your booking confirmation. Copies of both terms and conditions are also available at our registered office and online at www.justgoholidays.com. All tours offered subject to availability. Errors and omissions excepted. All prices shown are per person and based on two people sharing a double/twin room. Single supplements apply. Calls to 033 numbers are free within inclusive minutes packages otherwise standard rates apply.

Will there be a toilet on the coach? Yes, all the holidays featured in our 2019 British Isles Brochure will be operated by a modern executive standard coach including a wc onboard. Regular comfort breaks will also be taken.
