These counts occur the first four weeks of the school year and are used to make sure enrollment counts are correct, locate students who have not yet attended school, and provide student head counts for allocation purposes. This count is a physical head count of students and includes whole numbers of students. If the student is enrolled on the day of the count, the student is counted as 1.
