Originally an industrial building for box factory Building is still in use today and is currenly a gallery and museum

ASPCA opened its Brooklyn headquarts here ASPCA occupied this space until 1979, now it’s a musical instrument repair shop

The Green Building

Has hosted a variety of industry, was previously a brass foundry In 2002, plans were made for demolition and replacement with a luxury residential tower After much community outcry and two years of discussion withe the Board of Standards Appeals, the site was not granted a residential rezoing and the building was saved The building is being reused as event space

Four story factory Reinforced concrete structure Originally a printing facility and then manufacturing plastic products Has been vacant for many years, but now is rezoned for residential use

Eagle Clothing Factory Sign Sign is above what was once the Eagle Clothing Factory. The factory had many modern amenities such as adequate space and lighting, air-conditionaing and a recreational roof garden. Taken down in 2013

Kentile was a pineer in the “do-it-yourself” industry of home improvement Kentile has not been present here since the 1990s The site is still used for manufacturing Taken down in 2014

Once was the printing and distribution garage for the New York Daily News Single story structure featuring vertical piers which break up the horizontal massing

Earliest company known to have occupied the building was the Empire City Hygeia Ice Company. A 6 story building was also constructed serving as a brewing company

An 8 story building served as the powerhouse for the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Corporation The building burned coal to generate electricity for all the trains It is currenly vacant and is the only remnant of what originally was an extensive complex

Originallya shoe factory In 2006 a Stop Work Order was issued for a condo project It was to includ an out-of-scale rooftop addition that was found to be an illegal extension and would have had a negative impact on the block and the neighborhood This project led to the community demand for a down zoning The building currently is waiting to be appropriately redeveloped
