Yo, Justin here with a lesson on how to find profitable keywords with low competition. If you are creating videos, blog posts, audios or any other kind of content online you gotta understand how to find profitable keywords that you can rank for. If you miss this step, which is proper keyword research… Then you might never see results in the search engines. Now you probably know this already, so lets go ahead and dive into a free method that works great for how to find profitable keywords with low competition.

Step 1 Think of an idea that you want to blog about. An example for my niche might be “How to generate mlm leads”.

Once you have an idea that you can share or teach people you want to make sure that you are targeting a keyword that gets searches instead of just writing about anything you think of. The idea is just the start.

Step 2 Type it into Google and see if your idea show other related searches. So from my idea I know that there are keywords like mlm leads or how to generate leads.

Once I do a little rearranging of my idea and get a keyword I want to rank for you want to make sure it gets searches.

So I see that “how to generate mlm leads for free” is a long keyword but still pops up which means that it’s probably a better term to go for.

Step 3 Use the Google keyword planner to determine if the monthly searches are something you are satisfied with and want to attract to your site.

Step 4 Go to google again, type your desired keyword and push F3. This will show a little bar where you can paste your keyword phrase. Once you do your browser will heighlight all of the words you typed in there. This allows you to determine the level of front page/on page competition up front.

Step 5 Copy the url of the top ranked page.

Step 6 Go to semrush.com and paste the url in the provided box. Semrush will show you all of the sites data. If it has more backlinks than you can afford to generate then don’t go for it.

But if there are not very many links and you think you can get up there.. go for it.

This is how you can do effective keyword research for free. Personally I also use a tool called Market Samurai. This allows me to evaluate my competition a little more without spending monthly fees.

Other Tips To Find Profitable Keywords.

Make sure you also take into account the video section in the search results. If you make a video out of your blog post you can also get traffic from Youtube.
