Do you want to know how to increase social media traffic using a simple social media traffic blueprint? Sweet! Your in the right place at the right time because in this quick blog post I am going to share with you exactly how to use social media for traffic. As you continue reading you might feel yourself automatically getting better at social media as you start to implement these strategies one by one. So let’s start talking about how to increase social media traffic for free.

In order for you to be able to attract FREE social media traffic from various social networks it is imperative

that you remember two very important things online:

1. It’s not all about you.

It’s great to share your new blog post, your success in business, or to otherwise promote and share the product, service or opportunity you want your friends and connections to see. But you have to remember to be social too if you want to get anywhere in business.

Follow the 80/20 rule. Only about 20% of your posts should be sharing your business in some form. The other 80% should be a mixture of personal status updates, sharing other people’s content and more. Here’s an example of what this could look like:

Post 1: Find an interesting post from someone else and share it or retweet it. The reason you want to share other peoples posts is because it breaks through the mindset of lack and creates a bond between you and other marketers or niche related people. Sharing is caring. There is more than enough for everyone. Post 2: Share a funny or interesting YouTube video and ask for comments/interaction. Adding video to your profile creates powerful appeal because people don’t always have to read. Personally I enjoy video way more than a written post that is kinda long. So this will help fluff up your social

media account. Post 3: Post a link to another persons blog post that you found informative or valuable. If you haven’t shared other blogs before it is a good idea to start. Why? This helps your following on any given network recieve value. When you are the source of value regardless of whos blog your promoting (even if they are in a different business) you become more powerful. People seek to find those who care about others and who deliver value no matter what. You will see this go a long way. Post 4: Write about your family, kids, or something personal. Did you know… the biggest form of T.V. is reality T.V.? People love to see into other peoples daily lives. Especially if someone is doing something cool. You don’t always have to eat at 5 star resturaunts. You can post a picture of you and your kids hanging out or something simple showing you are more than a marketer. Post 5: Share a link promoting your newest blog post. Of course it’s a great idea to share your own content with people driving traffic to your website. Make sure you are sharing something that people want to read and will help them in there niche or passion. If you don’t you will never drive sufficiant traffic to your sites. Post 6: Share an article you found in the news related to your niche and invite feedback. So if you are into entrepreneurship or business and there is something cool going on with Donald Trump or Shark Tank, share an article about what’s happening around the world in business or powerful business leaders. Again, being the source of good content is what sets you apart from other marketers. Post 7: Showcase your results in business – what has the product or opportunity done for you? You could share any kind of results that have to do with what you are doing. For example you could post how many leads you got today or yesterday, a sales notification, a snapshot of your weekly/monthly income, comments on your blog or first page rankings on Google, even first page rankings on Youtube, a lifestyle related photo (vacation, family time, etc). What do you do if you don’t have any results yet? Feature or showcase someone else who’s succeeding. This is powerful for one particular reason. People don’t care what results you are getting, just as long as someone is getting results and they see that it can work for them. Post 8: Ask a thought provoking question. Can be serious or funny. You are just looking to get some social interaction from others. Post 9: Tell a joke or share a funny photo. Everyone loves to laugh. So a quick joke can make or break a good day for someone. Post 10: Share a status update from someone else you’re connected with and add your comments. If you are on Facebook and a friend posts a cool tip of video, share it and add your own thoughts upon sharing. This will increase your interaction and get you involved as well.

Did you notice how only two of those posts were related to business of some kind? That’s 2 of 10… 20%!

2. People don’t want to be spammed or sold, PERIOD! This means you need to be careful not to share a lot of posts that scream “hey buy this!” or “sign up for this opportunity now!” There is a far better approach to marketing for leads with social media. Share blog posts and videos with helpful or actionable content. And then when someone visits your blog where you are in control, you can mention your business, product or opportunity as a Call to Action or banner. The most important thing to remember is to Always focus on delivering VALUE so people WANT to interact with you and look forward to what you share on various social media platform.

One more tip…

No matter what social media blueprint you come across it is essential to understand that no social media marketing will ever get you fast results. And by fast I mean 10 leads a day your first day or even first month. With free marketing you really really need to be active and consistent. Paid marketing still requires daily effort but in a different way.
