Do you know the importance of email list building for any growing small business?‌ What if you were losing thousands of dollars from you small business advertising without even knowing it? The truth is that many people don’t understand the importance of email lists and how they are use for building massive business and ROI. What is ROI?
ROI is your Return on Investment. This means if you spend $100 dollars and make $200 you have a positive ROI by 100%. I think the percent is right. I am not great a math, but you get it right?

But before we get into this, it is helpful for you to understand how NOT understanding how to build an email list can cost you big $$$ in the short run and long run.
A marketing and personal development mentor of mine named Mike started a business a while ago that isn’t around today anymore. He was told to place banner ads on certain websites to promote the business.
So he did.
Small Business ROI.
He spent 5K on ad space and made 3K in return. This is a negative ROI and a bad finish to his marketing efforts.
But what if Mike could have turned those people who didn’t buy from him into a subscriber and resend them back to the promotion? Mike would have made more money if he knew how to build an email list and resend the people he paid to get to his offer a second time. He will you now that he made a huge mistake not building an email list and losing 2K.

I don’t want you to make the same mistake and lose money on your advertising when there is a very easy way to fix it.
What makes email list building for small business so amazing? If you are a small business or home business, then you probably don’t have thousands to just waste on top marketing strategies like Walmart. But even if you did you would be losing money right away.
When someone visits your website you want to be able to capture their information before they leave you site.
In the world of fast information and easy access via the internet, people are not going to remember you address or come back to it. So you need a way to allow yourself to keep talking to someone about you and your business.
It’s like when you meet a hot girl. You don’t talk to her once and hope she loves you. You get her phone number so you can follow up with her and keep her focus on you.
Your customers and website visitors are hot girls you want to date. Get their name and email so you can share yourself again.
What makes list building so great for small business is that it allows you to get in front of the traffic you already paid for over and over again without paying for it again.
So when you get some from a girl, it’s easier to stay with that person or at least stay in contact instead of showing the moves on someone totally new.
The Benefits of List Building Off the top of my head there are 6 benefits to email lists that were never possible without it… 1. Return visitors 2. Building relationships
3. Keep in touch with buyers 4. Get new buyers 5. Sell multiple products without new advertising 6. Lower your cost of marketing There are some more very specific benefits but these are the mains ones I am able to utilize more often in my personal small business.
How Can You Start? Now that you know why you need to start getting email subscribers and that you are going to do it from now on…
You should know the easiest way to start building a list for your small business.
1 You need a service that allows you to store leads. There are a few tools that you can use to do this. I personally use a site called GetResponse. No matter what service you decide you use you can send emails at anytime, schedule emails at anytime later on or automatically create a series of emails for any new subscriber so you don’t always have to write emails… if you don’t want.
2 You will want something that allows people to enter their information In the marketing world these are called capture pages or squeez pages. It allows a visitor to enter there email/phone/name or anything in exchange for a small promise.
So for a business I am sharing with people that I use to earn money from home blogging I use the page you see below…
This page allows a visitor to give me their information in exchange for a small promise when I show them how take their business and scale it up to an extra 1K – 10K per month. Thats it! You have a website were someone can enter info and you have a tool that collects that info so you can email, text, mail or whatever after words. All of the big companies like Walmart a Subway do this.
How Can You Profit From An Email List?
Thats the best question so far.
So now that you are building a list after your advertising what do you do with that list of people to make money?
Build trust and responsiveness The importance of lists of getting people to know you though (typically) email and getting them back to something they already said they are interested in. What you do know is you send each new subscriber a series of emails that answers question about your business, sells through stories, builds a relationship with the owner aka YOU, or share testimonials about how your service or product really works for people. By sending this type of information to people they are able to make a buying decision over time.
Pot Pies & Busy Bodies Will Leave You Broke.
The truth is that people are always busy. If you are advertising and someone is about to buy your product, but the pot pies are burning… DEAR GOD! Please don’t let the pot pies burn. And then his computer does an annoying update and doesn’t save anything on the screen. You are GONE from that persons life. The person you spent money to get in front of. Trust me when I say this exact scenario happen to me every week. I take good notes on a website, my computer does an update and everything is gone. But the point is that people are never 100% involved in what they are doing nor are they 100% involved in what you are doing (your business).
So because you never know what can happen, you always need the option of resending something. This will save you money as you can see and help your business grow bigger and faster.
