A Message from the Team of Officials Obadah Qandil, President
Dear Family, As this term draws to a close; I deliver you this message on behalf of the entire 2019/2020 Team of Officials. At the beginning of this year, our ambitious TO set out to create the best IFMSA experience our members could ever have. Building on the success of the terms that preceded us, we moved head on to ensure that we accomplish the goals and apply the principles IFMSA-Jo was built upon. As the year progressed, we were confident we were on the right path. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic proved to be a challenge, and our activities were grounded to halt. However, the Team of Officials proved to be worth the challenge; quickly adapting their projects to fit the situation. During the lock down our team worked hard to be creative, intuitive, and learned to think outside the box. We held many online sessions and provided awareness campaigns in public adhering to the national safety guidelines. We like to start our posts with “Dear Family” as we believe that what we do here brings us closer together, we like to use “#La_Familia” because we set out to create a welcoming environment within JUST LC for all members to thrive and feel like they have a home away from home and a second family they can depend on. IFMSA is and always will be a student-run organization that serves you, shapes the leaders of tomorrow, and gives those who have the devotion and energy a place to shine and build their achievements. Thank you all for being a part of this year’s term and we hope you stay active and motivated throughout your IFMSA journey!
