...with Becky Taylor. Becky has an extensive background as an onair radio host in Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, Philadelphia, PA, Norfolk, VA, Des Moines, IA, Phoenix, AZ, Mobile, Al and Destin, FL. Being in radio for so many years, Becky has known most of the artists since they began their career. And with one of the most recognizable voices, she has emceed jazz festivals in Denver, CO, Norfolk, VA, Philadelphia, PA, Cancun, Mexico, and The Smooth Jazz Cruise. Becky has been the Seabreeze Jazz Festival’s emcee since 2013. “I love Smooth Jazz, so it is an honor to be an on-air radio host on WSBZ, Seabreeze 106.3, (Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 am - 3:00 pm) and an even bigger honor to be The Seabreeze Jazz Festival’s Emcee,” says Taylor. “Panama City Beach is one of the most beautiful settings for a jazz festival, and Renee and Mark Carter have built something really special with the Seabreeze Jazz Festival that keeps fans coming back every year!” Taylor truly enjoys connecting with the audience, so it’s not unusual to see her out in the crowd, dancing, singing, and enjoying the music. “I’ve made some lifelong friends at this festival, so seeing them every year is truly a highlight.” Taylor has been nominated for several national radio awards, including Program Director and radio personality of the year in 2007, and is a two-time winner of the Colorado Association of Black Journalists Award (1995 & 2000).
