NORTHBROOK — ith the renovation process already underway, AMC Theaters at Northbrook Court cleared its last regulatory hurdle to offer moviegoers a luxury setting that includes drinking more than just soft drinks or bottled water while watching the film. The Northbrook Village Board of Trustees on August 9 at Village Hall unanimously created a new class of liquor license for the theaters and gave the town’s liquor commissioner the authority to issue it. The only thing Village President Sandy Frum, who is also Northbrook’s liquor commissioner, has left to do is make sure AMC qualifies for a license. She said she sees no reason why she will not sign it. “This is great,” Frum said after the meeting. “It will bring more people to the theaters and more Continued on PG 6
